What color is your car?

I’m 2 days away from closing the deal on a new car. If you saw it, you’d say it’s dark red. No, I’m sorry - it’s Salsa Red!!

Some years ago, we bought a brown car. Only it wasn’t brown. It was Antelope.

This cracks me up for some reason. So I had to ask - what color is *your * car?

White. Hopefully Mitsubishi didn’t make up a new name for white. It was given to me by my mother so to me it’s just white. They probably called it ‘polar’ or something stupid though.

But when my dad was shopping for the last boat, the one he liked came in a few colors. One was maroon…no wait…beaujolais. Wtf? He thought it was the funnest word ever and wouldn’t quit saying it. I took french for five years and never came across that word. He even bought a maroon…shit…beaujolais truck to match.

Silver.

2005 Pontiac G6, FWIW

Space blue metallic with silver trim.

My MG is British Racing Green. There could be a whole book written about that color.

Well it is red. I dunno what color Acura called it in 97, but it is whatever color red they were selling. As far as I can tell, red cars do not get ticketed more than other color cars. I have not had one in this car.

My car is a Jade Pearl color and I named her Jade after her coloring.

A dark red van and a dark blue mini-wagon.
Woo-friggin-hoo!

Tan Toyota. You have seen one.

Tris

Silver Nissan Frontier. Although it looks blue under the sky.

Car color names crack me up, years ago we had a tan colored Mazda. The color name was elegant beige.

This one is Cranberry Pearl (not our actual car)

and this one is Springtime Yellow (also not the actual car)

I also have a Seafoam Green 1969 Thunderbird, the paint is faded and most people that see it think it’s white but it’s actually a very light green.

A SUPER WHITE! Highlander Hybrid.

Oh yeah!

Dodge says our big red truck is actually Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat

White. Only now it’s a sort of brownish grey from all the ice and snow we got in January.

The best car color names were the ones they gave the Ford Maverick when it was introduced: Hulla-blue, Antiestablish-mint, Mellow Yellow, etc.

Ford says my Escape is ‘Redfire Metallic’ or something like that. I just call it red.

I’d say my Mini is green, but I suppose it is also British Racing Green. Seems a bit pretentious.

My car is this one, (I even have a gouge on the driver’s side like they do, but tan not gris interior) so Cypress Green, the 1998 version. He’s named Royal partly after his coloring, since Roy Orbison sang “Evergreen”.

My first car was called Mediterranean Blue, and it was green.

Other than that, my car colors have been pretty straightforward.

White. I hate white cars but it was a great deal on a nearly new car. I added a pinstripe and it’s not quite so plain, but I’ll never pick white again.
My favorite car was poppy red-orange. Looked fast when parked.
