I was downstairs a few minutes ago and saw Steve Waugh (former captain of the Australian cricket team) waiting in the lobby. So I asked him for his autograph, which he obligingly gave. It will make a great gift for my cricket-mad nephew whose birthday is in ten days’ time.

I’m English, but like many English Cricket fans I fully recognise that the greatest team on earth is Australia. I’d certainly prize a sig from steve, or shane, or any aussie cricketer for that matter.

My aunt got Steve Waugh’s, Mark Taylors and Rod Marsh’s signatures on a MCC cushion and gave it to my brother. She was favourite aunt not only of the year, but the whole decade!
Steve Waugh’s a cricketer I have a great deal of time and respect for - not only an amazing player, but a really decent and fair sportsman.
