If I subscribe to everything I post in,
then hit User CP,
all the threads I’ve subscribed to *and that have new posts * come up. I don’t have to search for them or anything!

You can subscribe with “no e-mail notification”, too.
Yeah, I’ve been a member too and found out about the “User-CP” feature just a short while ago. :o
Has anyone noticed the hamsters look kinda happy lately? 
I know but I only use the subscribe option to notify me of threads I have a specific and/or vested interest in. A lot of my OPs don’t even get subscribed to.
…so that when they’re replied to, I get instant notification.
Blah. Getting up before noon plays hell on my mental acuity.
I’ve noticed there’s a certain fringe benefit to the way I ‘sign out’ from my posts: If I do a vanity search, all my posts come up, as well as the ones that people drop my name into.
I know the mods and the hamsters powering the boards hate this, because it gives the hamsters heart attacks and the mods frown because I’m hurting the hamsters. But, for the reasons of discussion, it works.
Like I said, it’s a “fringe” benefit.
