Sort of. In the sense that I presided over (performed) the ceremony. No, I don’t have the authority to perform weddings, but since their marriage wouldn’t be legal in this state anyway, they didn’t care; they just wanted the ritual, and asked me to do it for them. So, a few hours ago, I did. The ceremony was short, and small, and sweet, and just a little misty.
I’ve known Kim for almost 8 years now; when I met her, she had yet to realize consciously that she was gay. (No, wiseasses, she didn’t realize it after dating me, we’ve never dated.) Anyway, we’ve been friends a long time, and I’m damn proud to be one of the people she loves and trusts enough to invite into such an intimate part of her life.
Krystal, her SO, I’ve known as long as they’ve been together. Actually, I met Krystal after a 2 AM phone call from Kim asking if I could come pick them up after Kim’s truck got stuck in the mud on their first real date. Quite an adventure, that.
Anyways. They’re a great couple; they complement one another so perfectly, and they’re still in the silly-love stage, even after these many years. I just felt like sharing, and heck, not many people have performed gay marriages, so I’m kinda feelin’ good about being in that small fraternity. Let the thread meander where it may.

Why, yes, yes they did. Which reminds me of something I forgot to include in my OP: the “bachelor party”.
The night before the wedding, Kim, Krystal and I went to a local strip club called Nibbles. Neither of them had ever been to one before.
Oh, MAN, did we have a blast. Kim’s kinda shy, so she tried to bribe her way out of the lap dance I bought for her. Afterwards, though, she was very grateful, and finally got the guts to sit by the stage with Krystal and me. She even worked up the courage to do some tipping herself. Krystal and I were just a bit bolder. hehe
The next time I go to a strip club, I am definitely taking Los Dos Lesbos. The dancers and the staff were a whole lot nicer to us than they were to the other guys. And I do mean nice.
Kim and Krystal are already planning our next outing. I am SO there.
She and I had this discussion recently. You could marry her, sure, but she’s not interested. Sorry. All mine.
BTW, pass along my mazel tov to the newleyweds. And, a big fuck you to the puritans running the show that won’t let them do this legally. But, I am happy for them.
Good on ya mate. I’ve said a few good things for your grrrls. Now, a question please. Females that hang/pal around with gay men are called “Fag Hags” what do guys like you and I get called?
