I just saw the worst person in the world!

You are never more than a couple of degrees of separation from someone who is a Redditor, and any Redditor would have loved the opportunity to show this person up and would have grabbed your photo with both hands and kissed you for the opportunity.

Something to bear in mind for next time.

My spouse was waiting for someone to pull out of a handicapped spot at the mall so he could pull into it (having a hang-tag and all, being legitimately disabled) and this bitch zips around his car and pulls into the spot. She gets out, no handicapped plate, no hang tag, and smirks at him.

He rolls down his window and says “you forgot to put your hang tag up”.

She tells him to fuck off, she can park where she wants, and cripples and retards shouldn’t be allowed to drive. She then trots off to the store.

Spouse calls the cops. He then parks at another nearby spot and gets out, goes into the store.

When he gets back to the car it seems the bitch-queen is in an argument with the cops about her “right” to park where she wants. Apparently, while spouse was getting into the car the fine jumped from $500 to considerably more based on her verbal abuse and threatening to have the cops (there were two) fired for doing their job. As he’s pulling out she takes a swing at one of the cops with her purse and next thing she knows she’s face-down on the hood of her car getting cuffed.

Sometimes, there is justice… And I wish he had been able to film the events because I would love to see how many hits that would get on YouTube.

When I was talking to my ex’s ex about how he was manipulative to her, he put on his “well, duh” face and said (not verbatim, but as accurately as I remember) “yeah, but as guys we both know that sometimes women need to be manipulated. A lot of times they don’t know what’s best for themselves.”

Justice is sweet. I don’t understand why able-bodied people would park in a handicapped space, much less steal one from someone who’s waiting for it. That takes an extreme level of entitlement and selfishness.

Oh yeah? I’ve met two governors and two senators.

Where do you live? Across the US, convicted repeat drunk drivers are spending 2 to 10 years in prison.

Not here in New Jersey. DUI convictions hit the wallet hard but prison time is rare. The 3rd offense in 10 years can get up to 180 days but that rarely happens. Jail time is usually suspended or placed on probation. At least with the judges I have dealt with. That of course is not for DUIs that were in connection with accidents involving death or serious bodily injury.

Thanks, that gave me a laugh!

I’m sure they would have, but at that point I just wanted to go home.

I was parked in a grocery store parking lot, playing with my phone before I got out of my car. A woman pulled into the spot across from me and knocked the grocery cart that was in that spot into my car.
When I got out of my car to assess the situation, she said to me “I didn’t leave it there” and walked on into the store, leaving me with a WTF look on my face as she walked away.
I was deeply tempted to put the cart on top of her car or something but restrained telling myself I was above such petty revenge. But it sure was tempting.

Here’s what it should’ve said:

   :stuck_out_tongue:

I had this happen to me not too long ago. I wasn’t signalling because there was no one else in the aisle and I had been waiting for the person to pull out. The woman who took my spot had zipped around the corner at high speed and saw the space and signalled, leaving me no time to signal. Because of the direction the leaving car took I could not get the spot first. My boyfriend wanted to argue with her and I said “what’s the point, she’ll just say she had the right of way because she was signalling”. So now I just always signal, doesn’t mean some other phallus-head won’t take the spot but at least stops the “doesn’t matter if you were waiting here first, I called dibs” jerks.

They seem to think that you are just sitting there in the aisle because you enjoy blocking traffic. If you really wanted the spot you’d be signalling. I suppose that’s jerk logic.

But did they park in the handicapped zone?

Agreed.

If you’re equating serial killers with people who park like assholes, I can get behind that.

That’s another piece of the puzzle - I don’t get why or how people can get caught for drunk driving so often, but what you say makes a kind of sense - they really don’t think they’re doing anything wrong.

I may have posted in Reddit’s BadParking sub a time or three.

What? They parked their getaway car in a handicapped spot (or two)?

You dont?! I find this hard to believe. Able-bodied people park in handicapped spaces because it conveniences them. Most fear no repurcussions so they never even give it a second thought.

I was once on the subway with my infant daughter (in a stroller) and my dog (in her carrier) when a guy dressed like Michael Jackson got on the train, started the song Thriller on a beat up old radio, and started to dance. After about 30 seconds it became clear no one on the train was going to give him any money and he got pissed, walking up and down the length of the train car, punching walls and screaming about how greedy and selfish we all were for not giving him any money for his performance. I held my breath and dug my pepper spray out of my pocket and discreetly as possible while he ranted, terrified he was going to try to hurt my daughter or kick my dog or something. When the train stopped he got off the train, screamed at some woman standing on the platform, and then threw his boom box at her.

I think that guy is the worst person in the world.

When did this happen? Maybe it really was Michael Jackson

You forgot the part about how a crowd had gathered, and they applauded once the cops took her away, then hoisted your spouse on their shoulders and paraded him around the parking lot singing “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.”

Bullshit. Fines for violations are set. Cops can not just arbitrarily raise them because they feel like it.
