I just watched Kevin Mitnick get back on the internet.

After all this time, his probation was lifted, and he was allowed to get back on the internet. It was broadcast on TechTV.

They were speculating which site he should go to first, and in the end his girlfriend’s site won out.

He made a point of saying that hacking is illegal, and that he was sorry for what he had done. He also said that he is a prime example of why kids shouldn’t hack. Somehow, I think he said it with a bit of tongue in cheek.

Kevin Mitnick did some cool stuff, broke some rules and paid 10 times what he should have had to in a way worst than murderers have to.

The simple truth is that Kevin never sought monetary gain from his hacking, though it could have proven extremely profitable. Nor did he hack with the malicious intent to damage or destroy other people’s property. Rather, Kevin pursued his hacking as a means of satisfying his intellectual curiosity and applying Yankee ingenuity. These attributes are more frequently promoted rather than punished by society.

I hate this guy and his friends already. I don’t suppose it’s legal to lock someone up just for being a contemptuos little snot, though. I knew I should have voted for Buchannan.

Mitnick got busted for hacking, went to jail for hacking and kept on hacking. Mitnick then went on the run from the law and kept on hacking.

Mitnick wasn’t just trying to figure out how things work. He was being an ass and he cost companies money. Mitnick enjoyed playing the ‘game’. He lost.

I agree that the government came down too hard on Mitnick. At the same time Mitnick pulled this down on himself.

Mitnick is an idiot.

Fair 'nuff slee, but I had never even heard of this guy before this thread and from I hate this guy and his friends already, I don’t think the other poster had either. I was just commenting in the context of this thread.
