I just won a $50 Amazon certificate--what would you buy?

One of my poems just won me a $50 Amazon gift certificate.

So many choices. I’m undecided between buying books I know and love or buying books I just want to try out. Or I could get some cds. Or dvds. Or all three. Or a blender or something equally kitcheny.

No, it should be books. No, wait–second season Veronica Mars!

But I really like books.
What would you buy?

I got a $25 gift certificate for my birthday and I spent it on pieces for my Halloween costume.

What’s your costume?

Pseudo-Military/Police/Special forces/Security - Depends on how many things arrive in time.

I’ve got black BDUs and boots, I got a utility belt and cuffs, am waiting on the security shirt and other extras for it

I’d buy Firefly on DVD. Or Sports Night on DVD. Or random books on my Wish List up to $50 worth.

all 3 post secret books. www.postsecret.com

First one is out.

second one is released nov 1.

third one is released in january I believe.

I second that! I’m a PostSecret addict.

I was lucky enough to get a $25 Amazon gift certificate after helping someone move, and I spent it all on books. Had I been given a $50 certificate, I still would have spent it on books. (That’s just the way I roll, Homey.)

Tuscan Whole Milk, 1 Gallon, 128 fl oz. 793 customer reviews can’t be wrong.

Another vote for books for when I go to Bali with the family, so I can laze in the shade with something to read. I haven’t had a chance to kick back and read a book for a while due to HSC exams. And I’d think about the Postsecret books too.

I would buy another $50 gift certificate made out to Rigamarole!

I would buy Shirley Ujest something off her wish list.

but, that is just me.
Congrats and let us know what you pick!

Have you been to the BlowOut Books section? Lotsa books for $2.99!! Guess where I did my christmas shopping.

I bought the first book for my sister last Christmas. She loved it.

I’d use that gift certificate to ease the financial burden of Christmas shopping.

Some cookbook I’d been wanting, or several. Cookbooks are about the only books that I actually buy these days, rather than just checking out from the library.

Anime (which actually IS what I bought last time I got one of those.) That would cover the last GitS DVD I want, and part of a manga volume. My ‘to buy’ list is a lot thicker than my wallet, so finding something wouldn’t be an issue–prioritizing would be the hard part.

I got one of these about a year ago, and after the dishwasher it is my favorite tool I have in the kitchen.

Apple Slicer

And if you are especially brave, maybe one of these.

Another Apple Slicer

Does Amazon sell beer?

I think this is the closest they get (and the OP’s certificate only covers half).

If it were my $50 certificate?

Probably something featuring Thomas the Tank Engine.

I have a 2 year-old son.

'Nuff said.
