I haven’t played one of those guitar things in years.
I’m a keyboard player/drumer/and kind of a horn player, but I just repaired my clunky cheap guitar and decided I’d try writing a “guitar song”.
For some reason the beat and tone reminded me of Elvis (Not thin, cool, wartime Elvis but chubby, Vegas Elvis), so I just went with it.
If anyone wants to hear my Zombie Elvis track, I put it here .
So THAT’S what you do with a guitar! I was trying to cook burritos with a guitar, and it really wasn’t working out so well.

For the last 10 or more years the only thing I did with THAT guitar is let it sit in the corner and catch the dust that nornally would have fallen on the carpet.
It did a pretty good job of it as well.
I decided I should figure out how to play the damn thing.
I find it easier to write with a pencil.
Random thoughts while listening (from a non-musician):
It may be my poor speakers, but the vocal track is a little lost.
I’m not sure I’d call this a “guitar song”, but it’s good.
The sax (horn?) gives me a little Shuffle Demons kinda feel. -Very ‘street’.
Chorus riff is pretty catchy.
Good job!
Put your song up on dmusic.com and you’ll get lots of critiques from other musicians. It’s a great, free music community. I think so anyway

Dreamer: If I took this song more serious, I might. But you have to remember this is a song about Zombie Elvis. heh heh
