I know something you don't know ...

Uhhh, I forgot it. Too much tequila, shrimp and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Somebody jog my memory. Or, at least, dear god, give me something for this damnable hangover.

i know! you’re the newly elected president of NAMBLA, aren’t you? …so, you DO look like marlon brando, don’t you?

(quietly soft-boils three fresh eggs, butters rye toast, and prepares a tall cold Bloody Mary, careful not to make too much damnable noise with ice tinkling in the glass)

He knows what The Matrix is.

“I know nothing you don’t know”…uhh, make that “You know everything I know”…wait, it’s “I know…”
Nevermind.

[giggle]

You’ve finally figured out the equation for the universe that Einstein was working on when he died. Come on, 'fess up, Unca Beer. Inquiring minds want to know.

The third common word ending in gry?

Oh yeah. I remember now.

On November 18, 1883 the U.S. and Canada adopted Standard Time to facilitate scheduling of railroads. The U.S. was divided into 4 timezones: Eastern, using the 75th meridian; Central, using the 90th meridian; Mountain, using the 105th meridian; and Pacific, using the 120th meridian. These numbers were chosen based the prime meridian runnig through the British Royal Observatory at Greenwich, England—the 60th parallel.

Up until this point nearly every city of any size had their own local time resulting in literally hundreds of timezones. In fact, Indiana had 23, Illinois had 27 and Wisconsin had a whopping 38. Most business travelers had to carry small notebooks with them containing charts to help convert time to the local standard.

Most of the rest of the world now uses a meridian that fall on one of these twenty-four 15° parallels.

I told ya you were all cold.

I knew it all along.

But… But I did know that! I feel like I’ve been teased, abused, manipulated and left twisting in the wind.

Again.

One of these, days, UncleBeer, I’ll stop falling for your lines.
But I do know that Injun’ Joe is ticklish, Tuckerfan.

I knew that. I thought you said you knew something I didn’t.
