I know... "they gotta pay their bills..."

But I’m still disappointed when I see Jeff Goldblum shilling for Apartment.com.

From 30 Rock:

Tracy Jordan (playred by Tracy Morgan) is discussing his strategy to get an EGOT (i.e. win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) with EGOT-achiever Whoopi Goldberg.

Whoopi Goldberg: You cannot fake your way to an EGOT, fool. You know, all these awards I got, I got for projects I believed in.

Tracy: Wait, is that a Daytime Emmy?

Whoopi Goldberg: It still counts. Girl’s gotta eat.

I am sad to see once young rising stars now on Hallmark movies. Amy Smart and Adrien Grenier, I’m looking at you.

As Michael Caine said about being in Jaws 4:

This used to be just a thing that happened to some actors when their careers stalled.

But you now have Netflix, Amazon and a bunch of others all making tons of shows. Just an amazing number of opportunities out there now with much higher visibility and stature.

It really has to be a just doing it for the money thing. Spend a few weeks doing a Hallmark thing. Collect the check. Take a nice vacation. Lather, rinse, repeat.
