Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share

This is my 1000th post. Thought I’d never get here.
Don’t want a post party or anything (although I was promised some nekkid dances about 400 posts ago), but I didn’t want to waste this moment by posting some snide-assed comment about fast food or pinheaded real estate agents.

Instead, I’d like to thank the members and mods of these boards for entertaining, enlightening and educating me. I have been touched by the compassion and generosity of so many posters here. I have also been enraged, provoked and infuriated here, but that’s the point of being alive. I have laughed out loud, cursed openly, prayed with all my soul and shed some tears with all of you. It’s been a pleasure.

There’s a whole passel of people I could/should mention here who have touched and inspired me deeply, but a list of this nature would surely shut these boards down for a week. But I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a few of the wonderful people who have impacted my life:

Falcon - I hope that wherever you are, you are doing well. You are missed deeply.

Ayesha - Prayers with you always for your health and happiness…I am soooo glad that the road ahead appears to be lit with hope. Proud to be your plaything!

AudreyKakes - the adorable one. Thank you for your endless kindness and cheer.

Serendipity - Jessica, best wishes to you and your family…and isn’t being in love great?

Byz. FairyChatMom. Zenster. Shayna. Diane. Silver Fire. Una and Fierra. Pricciar. I am going to be so depressed when I realize the people I’ve omitted…

Last, but never least, to the heart of these boards, the incomparable Scotticher - What can I say that hasn’t been said here before, except that I would multiply those comments a hundredfold. You are, simply, the best. I’m eternally honored.

Thank you all for indulging me…now, back you your regularly scheduled boards, which are already in progress…

** poohpah chalupa ** You are such a sweet man, not only here but IRL too. (I know because Scotti and I discussed your sweetness at HouDope recently). I have met some wonderful people here on the SDMB, you are at the top of that list. Thank you for the prayers, I believe those have really made a difference.

Congratulations! I must tell you that, along with many other cool names here, yours has slipped into my everyday speech.

Last night, while driving:

Me: “I missed the turn into the bank! Well, poohpah chalupa!!”

:slight_smile: It made the error that much easier to bear. Happy 1,000th!
