That was the “more info” offered via e-mail…was avoiding going into that on the board… :o …better you than me.
HillKat, yer a newbie; as I write this, you’ve got a whopping seven posts. Welcome to the MMP.
What scout and susan said.
Do you make house calls? I manage to neaten everything up just before company arrives and then it rapidly deteriorates until the next time someone’s coming over…
Dinner is what was supposed to be lunch: turkey sammich, marionberry yogurt, carrots, an apple. Packed everything up and left it at the door. Yeah…it was that kind of day. So I’m going to go off and escape into a mindless mystery…

It looks lovely. I especially like the disembodied head on the table.
You might want to stick it on a pike and put it outside in a prominent place to remind the neighbors you are not someone to be messed with.
I, too, know what my cat is thinking:
I am also fond of the disembodied head, especially since its placement sometimes make the WryGuy think someone’s a-peekin’ in the window. It’s fun to hear him yelp when he’s walking down the hall.
All you people requesting my housecleaning services - did y’all miss the part about the fossilized coffee cup, the three bags of trash and the fact that I haven’t opened the door in there since October?
Very nice! You wanna come clean my den? I’ve given up. Two computers, a piano, computer CDS, general crap. I just can’t keep up. I get it all nice and sparkly and then hubby and the kids trash it!
I’m hungry and have an INSANE craving for chocolate! However, I’ve been able to resist…so far. Only 35 minutes and then I can go home, where, alas, there is no chocolate and I’m far too lazy to stop at the store today. So, circumstances and my laziness will win out over my cravings. I suppose my thighs and butt are thanking me right now…or at least they damn well better be thanking me!
You mean as an organizer, right Scout? Sometimes you just have to check.
Well, duh! the Kat is a newbie Bob. Other then a newbie, who would ever say something like —>
Avoiding topics is NOT what we do here. Either the little “here” of the MMP (Monday Morning Post, Kat) or the big “here” of the Boards in all their glory. (I won’t mention the smilie.)
Hey! Ya wanna influence the Course of History? If you have a topic for next week’s MMP, e-mail me if you want it kept a secret (if I even use your sugestion, or post a topic. (This offer ends tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. in your local time zone, so get on it.)
Thanks for the condolences everybody. VunderBob you’re right. I could have Alzheimer’s and who’d notice the difference?
I was being nice. I’m nice to newbies once, and Kat just had his/her chance.
Wow. Crap coding and I forgot to close a parenthesis.
The crowd goes wild! (Hhhhhhhhhhhaaahhhhhh!!!)
Dinnertime. I’m going to make the pudding as soon as I wash the dishes from the last two days. I was out with Driving Husband yesterday, and it seems that one person can use 16,381,929 glasses in one day. Maybe he had a party without telling me.
This bra is too small because I’ve had it since I was ninteen, and I’ve… developed… since then.
The studio is lovely. Someday I will have my own studio, and it will be unsafe to walk in. Perfect.
Must make dinner of some kind. Carrot sticks and a sandwich?
Your dinner choice sounds good to me…I’d be happy with it. However, I don’t think the hubby or kids will settle for that. Last night, since I got home late after getting my hair done, I cheated and made Stagg chili.
I’ve scanned my pantry, fridge, and freezer and I don’t really have anything that’s quick or easy to prepare…other than Tuna Helper. Hmm, may have to prepare that. That should go over like a turd in a punchbowl.
My kids and husband not only go through 16 million glasses a day, they go through at least 10 million juices boxes and sodas a day. Every time I get the dang cans and boxes rounded up and appropriately disposed of, more appear.
Just so you know Bob, my computer has taken to sending out e-mails all on it’s own and apparently has fallen in love with you.
I hope it won’t happen again.
LifeOnWry, wow!, just…wow! I am awed by your neatness, not inspired unfortunately, but awed nonetheless.
Our dinners have been a little odd lately, because of working in the shop until 6 or 7 or whatever. Last night we ate at the Thai place across the street. Tonight , the chicken I had left out wasn’t thawed yet, so we had chicken (not the semi-frozen chicken, sliced deli chicken) sandwiches and cauliflower with cheese sauce. (We had salads for lunch, so could skip our greens tonight.)
I may be a bit dense, but I’m getting the distinct impression that * somebody* around here doesn’t like smilies. Not that it matters, I like 'em, so I’m gonna keep using them. I’m old and tend to irrational stubborness in some areas.
You know what the best part of getting Alzheimer’s is Swampy? You get to meet new people every day. And oftentimes they bring you Jell-O.
In other news: I think I have an idea for next week. I don’t need your help now people. Ha!
Do I know you? Got any Jell-O?
My guess is that they’re totally ignoring your growing ears.
swampy I’m sorry to hear about your uncle. I was a pall bearer for my uncle a little over three years ago. He was nine years oldewr than me, and died of a brain tumor. The good thing about being a pall bearer, though, is that you get to leave the church first. You don’t have to wait in line behind all the other mourners, and you get a seat right up front.
I’m making dinner tonight for the Factotrix and her daughters. The girls were over last night, just hanging out with us because they really don’t like their father, the guy they’re living with. My GF isn’t looking forward to having her daughters move in with us, but it is going to be inevitable, we think. But I ramble.
What I really wanted to say is that I’m making my orange meat loaf for them. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it in the crock pot (no one was going to be home when it needed to be turned on, and you can’t overcook my meat loaf in a crock pot or it turns to stew.) So I’ll have to put it in the oven like Mom and Nana used to. Any ideas on how long a lump of meat has to cook in that thing?
A long time? Hour and a half, maybe? Depends on the oven temperature.
Morning, all. It’s a nice sensible time to be up, isn’t it? Not like seven am. I’m so spoiled. I discovered that during the day shift at work we get a lot more crazy people, needy conversational lonely people, and loud children. It was interesting, but I’m rather glad that I usually work evenings.
Mr. Lissar is at home today due to fever. Please send healing-type thoughts so he can make it to work tomorrow.
I have today off, so I’m going to cook and clean. I should get Driving Husband a birthday present, too. Maybe Friend from Work will come over this evening. He generally stops in on Thursday evenings to visit me, but I’m not going to be there. I hope he’ll draw the obvious conclusion and just head over.
Incidentally, the cookware store near hus has a front door mat that says, 'Oh No! Not You Again!". It’s only ten bucks. I’m seriously tempted.
That’s what Mom said. (Hey, it’s her recipe, it finally dawned on me to ask her.) And at 350 degrees F. Can’t wait for the orange gravy. Hmmmmm.
I hope Mr. Lissar gets well soon. It’s nice that you’re staying home to wait on him hand and foot.
