I like bands that merge world music and Electronica. Any suggestions?

Putumayo rules.
Of those the electronica world CDs I have are Arabic Groove, Asian Groove, Celtic Crossroads, and Turkish Groove. I like Turkish Groove the best–it has lots of women artists–and Celtic Crossroads has a track by Sinéad O’Connor!

You might like some of Deep Forest’s stuff - each of their CDs has different world influences, and their basic sound is sort of ambient/trance.

Six Degrees may be a record lable to examine. I got a sampler from them a few years back when I bought an Ekova disc. I see Niyaz is also on this label.

Anyone who likes Niyaz, check out Azam Ali’s second solo CD–Elysium for the Brave. It isn’t specifically ethnic, but with her background in Persian and Indian music, it still feels like world. (Her first solo wasn’t electronica, it was medieval.)

You can always go to Pandora and create stations based on some of these suggestions. Bet some great stuff will come up there.
