Yes, Curly had the comic genius, and Moe was good. I even have some fondness for Shemp and can tolerate Joe and Curly Joe to some extent, but I like Larry.

As the t-shirt says “it’s fine in the middle.” (Moe, Larry, Curly. Larry’s last name was Fine). Of course Curly was my fave when I was a kid, but as an adult Larry is now the business.
There’s apparently a rare bio (book) of Larry Fine entitled The Stooge in the Middle, but I’ve never seen it.
Larry’s Fine (hehe), but Curly’s a genius.
