I wear only black socks (exception: three, maybe four times a year I’ll wear white sneakers, so I put on white socks). The trouble is, black fades in the wash. So I usually have to spend some time find a pair that are faded an identical amount. And that’s before we even begin looking at the elasticity factor.
Let’s just say this: If I hit the lottery, the one wasteful extravgance I would allow myself is a fresh, brand new pair of socks each and every day.
