I like Psych and Jonathon Creek. What else would I like?

Light mysteries and such.

Possibly Castle. The mystery/detective part is often a little obvious - though it improve as it goes on - but the characters and their interactions are fantastic.

Reruns of Monk, along with the all-new novels by Lee Goldberg.

Good call! As a Firefly fan, how could I have forgotten about it?

And why won’t the ABC Player work? Never mind, I have previous seasons to catch up on.

There’s also a lesser-known show called The Good Guys, with Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks, that’s worth you trying. I love it mainly for the bad guys, who have much more personality than the bad guys in most shows. It only ran for one season, which I was sad about, but the showmakers seemed to just accept it and wrapped the show up in the last episode, so you get to watch a properly complete series.

Midsomer Murders.
Mayo was underrated. Only lasted a few episodes, but I thought it was really good.
Same with Eleventh Hour, though that may not really be in the same “light fare” league.

Re: Castle

I have nothing against paper-thin plots when handled amusingly, but I was mildly surprised to find I’d seen the first two seasons. But I enjoyed the reminders of what I missed.

Y’know, when you schedule a show near work-bed time, you can’t expect your viewers to be awake through the whole thing.
