I love Hamtaro. There, I said it.

It’s just so DAMN CUTE!

The theme song and dance is adorable. My son loves the part “where Hamtaro shakes his booty” in the opening credits. I can’t decide which is cuter, Hamtaro shaking his booty, or Dominic doing Hamtaro’s dance.

Hamtaro is adorable. You are right, Opal…I love that they are called ham-hams. And the little French hamster, she’s so cute. What’s her name? Also, Pashmina. She’s a sweet little thing. Adorable.

You both said the “H” word. Better go brush your teeth, or you’ll get cavities.

I can’t watch it–it’s just too cute for me. I’ll wait for my weekly dose of Yu Yu Hakusho instead.

If I was 6 again and my sister 4 she would love this show and I would be running out of the house screaming. Just like the Brady Bunch.

Pashmina is the Hamster with the scarf, you’re thinking of Bijou. Hey, her birthday is coming up. That’s wierd, they gave Hamtaro and Cappy the same birthday. And then Stan and Sandy were born on June 6. Maybe we discover they’re of the same litter?

I wonder if any of them will ever be accidentally sucked up by a vacuum or one of the other terrors that tend to strike small furry pets. I also wonder how long till it overtakes Opal’s initial “cute” rating and earns a pit thread, ;).

Well, I don’t actually watch the show. I’m just in the room when it’s on (using my computer) and so I just look over and watch cute bits here and there. Watching the show and following the plot would probably drive me nutty.

The show itself is a little too cute for me, but I enjoy the crazy Japanese merchandise that goes along with it. My Japanese Friend™ has sent me some Hamtaro and other hamster stuff, and they’re fabulously wacky and cute. In front of me I have one of those smooshy artist’s erasers that is strawberry-scented and comes in its own little plastic case with a picture of a hamster eating a strawberry on it. It also says, “Welcome to HamHam World!!! Smiles are waiting! HamHam bring love and joy!” God, I love this stuff.

You know. While watching the credits I was struck by how much Hamtaro’s dance looked like Kevin Kline’s dance in “In and Out.” It’s freaky.

Maybe somebody can research this.

All right then. Bijou is my favorite one.

The song is so catchy. (Don’t tell anyone I said so.) Not so catchy as the Sailor Moon one. (<blush>)
