Hmmmmmmm, so I’m just sitting here thinking about how much I love kitties. Floofy meowing kitties. It’s too bad I’m not allowed to have them in my apartment.
Sometimes I wonder if I love them to an unhealthy extent. Sometimes I have to walk around the neighborhood to find one sitting in the window so I can call to it or go to a petstore so I can pet them.
I feel like kitties understand me and we love each other unconditionally. At bookstores I sometimes get teary-eyed looking at the cat books.
And sometimes I lie in bed and pretend like a pillow is my kitty.
“If you had a choice between world peace or a boatload of kitties, which would it be?”
LOL (and I’m allowed to type that because I really am)!
I am moving into a new apartment where pets are allowed, and I’m about to get my first kitty from the local shelter. We want a black and white one first (possible name: Lily). Then we’re getting a big orange beastie who will probably be named Mmfashnyk (sp?), when we get a bigger place, or one we don’t have to share with someone who isn’t us.
Kitties are AWESOME! says the girl who always wanted a cat but couldn’t have one because her mother is allergic
I love kitties too! I have pictures of my three fuzzy girls hanging on my closet here at work. They are 10 years, 2 1/2 years, and 2 months. Mmmmmm…little softies…I love them.
Our shelter here is overflowing with kittens. We’re having to go every Saturday (to look for a friend’s dog - that we lost, long story) and it’s getting harder and harder not to leave with a new critter of some sort. This last trip, they had bunnies!!!
kung fu lola you could be my daughter. My poor 8-year-old longs for a sweet little kitty, but mama here is allergic. (Not to mention our doggie would eat a kitty alive.)
So like Qazz we are reduced to trolling the neighborhood for willing cats. Sidewalk loafers, I call them. They lounge about outdoors and when we come along they come a-mewing up and are petted to death by my children (while my nose and I stand a respectful distance away).
KFL’s hijack - with a promise to be short and with apologies to Qazzz
Sorry, but Joni is just too self-satisfied for me. I can appreciate her as a Canadian Icon though (Madonna listened to Court And Spark at least once a day, every day for a year when she was in High School, and HOW many times has A Case Of You been covered by super-cool peeps? Tori and Sloan are examples). She’s just not my cuppa.
Also, I do not own Birkenstocks, so that’s another bullet dodged right there.
Upside_Down_Amber and I are making sneaky plans to run away to the shelter and pick up our Lily as soon as my parents (who are helping us to move me in, bless their hearts) leave to go back to Peterborough. Yay I’m getting a kitty! Lifelong dream realized! Someone stop me before I use another exclamation point!
I’m going to get one from the shelter within the next 2-3 weeks (I have to wait until after July 8 - after that, I just need to get a couple of days free so I can be home with the kitty. I’ll probably go the Sunday after the 8th).
I’ve just grinned over the kitties since I decided to get one.
