I love this Palm game - help me find a similar PC one?

There’s a game I bought for my Palm Pilot called Spellbound. It’s kind of like Boggle, where one is issued a grid of lettered squares and must make words from letters that touch one another The difference between Spellbound and Boggle is that with Spellbound, you can go in any direction (in Boggle each letter must touch the ONE used previously, in Spellbound you can select any letter that touches ANY letter previously selected) and each “round” of Spellbound has a different goal - the first round, you must find so many words of four or more letters, the second round you must find words of four or more letters that contain the letters A-L, the third round it’s so many words of FIVE or more letters, the next round you must find words that begin or end with a specific letter, and so on. The rounds are timed, and points are earned not only from words/letters used, but also from how much unused time is left when you’ve accomplished the goal for that round.

I LOVE THIS GAME. It’s far more challenging than Boggle, and it is excellent for whiling away the time when I’m sitting at the orthodontist’s office waiting for my daughter to get rewired (or whatever.)

And I am bored beyond belief with the few games I have installed on my computer (including Boggle.) Sometimes, though, I’d rather play on my computer than on my Palm, and I can’t find this game or anything quite like it for a PC. The closest thing I have found to it IS Boggle.

Does anyone know 1.) if there IS a PC version of this game? 2.) a game similar to it for PC, and 3.) where I might look for this/similar games for a PC? (I’m on a Windows XP machine, if that helps.)

I’m willing to pony up and purchase this if it can be found, so I’m not looking for a freebie (or an illegal download - not that anyone would suggest such a thing.)

hopeful bump

There MUST be other word-game enthusiasts here, no?

Maybe Bookworm? Sort of a Boggle/Scrabble hybrid. Has web and download versions for PC.

Ooooh, that’s fun! Different, but fun all on its own. It’s more Boggle-like in that you can only select a letter adjacent to the last one you selected, but it’s definitely got a little challenge to it that Boggle doesn’t. Thanks!
