Weird, but I just bought tickets to a concert, indoors, for November 15.
Cost me dearly, and I know Phil Collins can’t play the drums and will be singing from a chair most of the show.
But, it’s live music and from a band I’ve loved over the years.
Oh, and if I choose to do so, I can smoke marijuana openly before the show.
Congrats! I’m just retroactively getting into Genesis. I had Duke but for unknown reasons never hunted down their other albums. I was sort of off the grid from 1980 to 1985. Always been a Yes and Pink Floyd and Styx and Kansas fan, not to mention Alan Parsons, so Genesis kinda belongs, so I’ve got some catching up to do.
Havent you always been able to smoke openly during the show? In high school I used to smuggle a bong into the Long Beach Arena because they were one of the few venues that didnt pat down. Otherwise people just brought joints. Arenas would have that sweet distinct smell of weed.
Edited to add: Doesnt openly smoking anything before the lights go down violate some anti-smoking ordinance?
I think he’s referencing the fact that cannabis is now fully legal in IL. One tiny hitch, though, it’s still illegal to smoke it in public.
Agreed. Same here in California. Remember to use Uber.
Have a great time !
I had no idea that they were going to tour. Really, really strangely, I’ve had the opening to “Turn It On Again” going through my head ridiculously frequently the last week or so (and Alexa won’t play it unless I upgrade to Music Unaffordable, or something like that).
My brother and his best friend got tickets to the Cleveland show. They were ready and online for the presale code day and tickets sold out super fast. They only got nosebleed seats.
I’m surprised at how fast the tickets went to be honest.
FYI, it’s no shock but they’ve added a lot of second shows that were announced today.
