I may have come from a Parallel Universe because I have no memory of the first Daddy's Home

I have seen countless trailers, ads and commercials for the sequel but the first time I saw it I assumed it was new movie because I swear I have zero memory of the first one. None. I am plugged into pop culture and kind of a fan of Will Ferrell but I swear I had no idea he made a movie called Daddy’s Home or that said movie ever existed.

Clearly the only explanation is the Universe I was in, the movie never did exist. What else could it be?

  2. The trailers only showed during “Inside Out”, or some other kid flick, and you never saw them.

I never knew there was a first one either.

I never saw the movie but a remember seeing the trailer and commercials often.

I was living here in this dimension in 2015 and I can confirm that was a significant advertising campaign for the original Daddy’s Home. Enough so that I remember the existence of the movie even though I’ve never seen it.

So interdimensional transfer seems the most logical explanation. Welcome to our world. Did you happen to bring any DVD’s of the second season of Firefly?

I’ve seen it. It’s not terrible, but it’s certainly quite mediocre and forgettable.

I’d never noticed the first one either.

I blame the curse of DVRs and not going to the films where the trailers for these types of movies are being shown, rather than interdimensional shifts. Though I am open to that possibility. It would explain other things.

I saw the first one on a plane. It was exactly what you expect from Will Ferrell and Marky Mark these days.

I saw a lot of ads for it. No idea where. I don’t have cable so I’m not seeing many commercials.

Could be I saw both guys as guests on talk shows or something. Two big stars, I’m sure they made the rounds.

I never heard of it either, but Harrison Wells tells me it wasn’t that good. :smiley:

I had a DVD boxed set of Leonard, Parts 1 through 5. I forget where I put it.
