I MUST Find some under the table work

It’s a matter of survival. My disability check has started coming again, but we have to register both of our cars… one of them somewhere the end of May and the other by the end of June. Car insurance is due this month, and AAA. After last year, I’m not going out across that desert without the coverage. And if that’s not enough extra expenses this month, Rico needs two tires on his car and my glasses fell off the table when he was looking for something. He was sure where they landed so he stepped back to reach down to get them. oops!

We’re still waiting to hear if that guy will let me clean up his webpage but Rico doesn’t have a clue what the guy is going to do.

If you know anyone who would like me to do some genealogical research or family history research, I can be had cheap!

Also the same for making webpages.

If I were to work somewhere for real, they would take it out of my disability income. We can’t afford for them to do that. Plus it’s got to be something I can do at my own pace.

If you have any ideas how I can advertise or if you know anyone who is interested, please let me know. We really need for me to be able to work right now.

Rico thinks he’s lined up a better job that will pay better but it won’t be available for 3 months.

Yes, I’m begging. I really need the work and I don’t know how to find this type of work. I’d give anything to be able to go back to work full time doing anything, but that’s just not possible with my health.

Thanks in advance!

When you say disability, do you mean SSDI? Because you can make some money each month and retain your benefits (somewhere around $830). Looking here will help you find a BPAO (benefits planning assistance outreach) agency to answer questions.

That said, sre you near any universities? I wonder if you could get a PT job doing research for a professor? One of my clients has such a job (paid over-the-table, though) and is able to work at her own pace. This enables her to both take care of her health and keep an eye on whether she is nudging the $830 mark each month.

Yes, SSDI. I was well enough to work about 4 years ago and thought I was keeping track of what I was allowed to make just in case the drs were right and I wouldn’t be able to continue working as long as I wanted to. Just a few months ago I got a letter from them saying I’d made more then $2,000 more then I was allowed to make and they have been taking my check to pay it back. I just got my check back last month.

Thanks for the link. I haven’t looked at it yet, but it might help me know what I’m doing.

No university that I know, but there is a small college a few blocks away. I’ll go check into them. Thanks.

Kathy

I am very sorry about your personal situation, but I’m afraid we cannot allow you to use the SDMB to break the law.
