I’m getting ready to sit in a Dr. waiting room, and then spend a couple hours at the mechanic getting new tires.
I want to download a new book that’s available on the Google Play Store, that costs less than $5.
I’m not going to tell you what I like or usually read; just tell me the best book out there for the price.

In December, I bought all four of the Game of Throne books in a set for ~$20.
How about free? Is free okay?
Dracula. So far it’s been my favorite book.
Another free book is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I know it’s a “kid’s” book, but I really liked it and went on to read the next four or five in the series (there’s like 800 more books*)
*okay, not 800, like 60.

I did get Dracula not too long ago; I agree, it’s a great book.
Well that certainly fit the criteria, but I didn’t go with it.
I broke my own $5 rule and purchased his “The Recursive Universe” because it looked so good.

The Martian by Andy Weir
Is that the same Andy Weir that did the Casey and Andy web comic?
Not familiar with the Casey and Andy comic, but the novel is well written, with a lot of humor and well thought out problem solving.
Plot: Main character gets left behind on the surface of Mars and must figure out a way to survive.
You might want to give Christoper Nuttall’s Sufficiently Advanced Technology a look. And if you like military SF, he’s written a lot of that.
Wonderful book! Alas, Bigger Secrets and Biggest Secrets belie their titles: the first book is very much the best in the series.
