I need to know how to have words appear on screen as I talk.
I need to know how to display things like slides at certain points during the video.
I need to know IMMEDIATELY.
I’d be working on a Windows 8 machine with no relevant software installed other than what it was bought with. (Asus, less than a year old, if that’s relevant.)
Get Windows Live Movie Maker and install it.
Import your movie (might take a while, depending on length)
This videoshows you how to put text on the screen, starting at 4:20 (the beginning is how to add a title at the beginning)
This page has pretty good instructions on how to add a photo in the middle of your movie clip.
Thanks, I’ll look at it.
I’ve had some more time to figure out what it is I’m supposed to be doing. Here’s the wording of the request that was made of me:
I’ve seen one video used by the institution in question, and I know the voice on the video to be the voice of a person who holds the same position as the one I’m applying for, so for all I can tell, that person is the creator of the video as well. That video contains no actual video of the person–it’s all animations and diagrams.
I don’t think I can teach myself animation in the time allotted (I basically have today and tomorrow, and tomorrow I’m unspeakably busy). So I’m going to try to make a video that just consists in images with my voice over everything. My topic will be the game of Go, which lends itself to the use of diagrams and other static images.
Is WLMM good for this, or should I be using something else?
