I NEED a pirate shirt

Ok. Need some help. I will be going to a Halloween party this weekend. My girlfriend has told me that I am DEFINITELY going. Me, I wanted to stay in South Bend and go to the ND game, but I will instead be driving my sorry ass to Indy!

Actually, I love my girlfriend.

Which is why I am going as Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance. She will be doing my hair (Vanilla Ice-style). I will get my hands on a black pair of tights, into which two pairs of socks will go.

But I need a fluffy shirt. I need what Jerry Seinfeld wore on Regis. I need a pirate shirt. Jerry may have said, “But I don’t wanna be a pirate!”. Well, I do. Actually, I want to be a Lord of the Dance.

Where can I get one? Any help?

Never saw Lord of the Dance, but if you’re looking for a shirt with the frills on the sleeves and down the front, you may want to check out Hot Topic in your local mall. I bought such a shirt there for use as part of a costume.

Now riddle me this: Any idea where to find a pirate coat? You know, the heavy kind with the turned-up cuffs?

Yarrrrr! Har-harrrrr! I remember it were off the coast of Floridarrrrrr! Shiver me timbers, an’ walk me plank! Take me to the treasure, an’ I’ll show ye whar the shark bit me! Arrrr!

I was born on a pirate shirt.

You may be able to overnight it.

Don’t forget the leather strap around your head.

Skip the socks and snag one of these!

It’s padded underwear for men!

Hahahahahahahaha!

You have got to be kidding me! Unfortunately, that shirt Sue, is $56! Whatdaya think folks? Splurge on it? And thanks for the tip on the leather strap. Where do I get one of those?

Damn. This is more complicated than I thought!

Many craft or hobby stores have a leatherworking section. You may be able to find a good strap there.

A good place to look for a shirt like that would be a thrift store or a veterans resale shop. I found a really good shirt and skirt for my daughter to dress up as a gypsy this year. You can find some really good stuff for halloween costumes at thrift stores and you can’t beat the price.
