I Need Help With Myst 3 Exile

I have looked at various faqs and walkthroughs and have not found anything helpful. I’m on Edana. I’ve just used a telescope flower to open a leaf bridge. My problem is that I cannot find my way to the bridge.

I have an incredibly poor sense of direction. I get lost VERY easily. I just cannot find my way to the unfurled leaf. The walkthroughs I’ve read generally just say ‘Now go to the unfurled leaf’. One walkthrough did give directions, but I got lost trying to follow them. I’ve been stuck for hours and need your help.

I feel your pain. I remember getting lost in that area too.

Here is part 1 of a video walkthrough. I’m assuming when you get to that part, it will show you the path.

Myst III Video Walkthrough

Thank you very much. But, I should have mentioned that I’m still on dial up and videos take years to load.

Edana is quite hard to navigate by virtue of it being all made up of plants and what not. I suggest just taking your time at each movement point to scan around for other options to progress, you might have missed one previously. If necessary sketch a map for yourself and see if you can see the bridge from other vantage points to try and work out where it should be on your map.

I love Myst 3 - my favourite of the series.

I can’t help you, but I recall getting lost in Exile many years ago, so don’t feel bad. I think those stupid leafy things was the only place I needed to look something up though, so perhaps it will get better.

I think there was a point where I got stuck because there was a path that I didn’t know was a path. Kind of like needing to click under a leaf or something like that. It didn’t look like a path to me, but apparently it was. I think the give-away was that you could turn 90 degrees along an otherwise straight path. I think.

To get to the leaf bridge, I needed to go the wrong way past the glowing thingy with the electra ray in it, then turn and follow a hidden path.

It’s very frustrating. I spent about 20 minutes actually tackling puzzles on Edanna, but several hours being lost. I’ve now completed the age and am taking on Voltaic.

Voltaic is fun but it was the world with the spheres that I liked the most, particularly the end part of it.

As pretty as Edanna is, I liked Voltaic better; the reveal caught me a little off guard. Was not expecting that. And Amateria, the one with the marbles, has one of the best endings of the whole series. Plus, the sunset lighting and the basalt structures are just gorgeous.

Yeah, I always remember that world fondly.

I still love Myst IV the most, especially the world where you control the monkeys by imitating their sounds.
