I have been looking far and near online where to buy Martha, the 1967 Danish movie. I need it with Danish subtitles, preferably in US format.
Anyone know where I can get it? I have contacted the Norwegian Maritime Authority because it’s the only site where I have seen it, but I am not sure if I can buy it from abroad.
As a last resort I can ask our family in Denmark to find it for us and bring it in their next trip, but I would rather find it now.
I think you may have better luck with the movie buffs in Cafe Society.

Thanks, o’ mighty mod!
By the way, I meant English subtitles.
Hi
You can find the DVD here: http://www.dvdcity.dk/?52X31X3531X3235363936XXXO603 or you can try to search the DVD on: Sammenlign priser - Find den bedste pris på PriceRunner
May I ask why you want to see an old danish movie like this one?
It is here as well: http://www.gucca.dk/dvd-film/martha_302.php. The price is a bit lower than in SleepingParrot’s link. 50 Danish kroner is about 10 USD. No idea about p&p. I seriously doubt that you will be able to find it in NTSC format (if that is what you mean by US format) - it seems highly unlikely that these old Danish movies have been published in the US.
I am curious too: Why Martha?
Because my husband is a Danish sailor. I have seen Martha in Denmark (at a meeting with his “old” navy pals. I found it hilarious.
I always end my husband’s shopping list with “6 Kg. of saffron”.
ETA: Another reason why I enjoyed it so much is that I spent many years in the shipping business, and know a fair bit about the trade in the old days.
