Well, I think you make good arguments too. I like a variety of styles, from Poly’s microscopically detailed citations to Tris’s shrugs and smiles made of poetry. I think that if you look closely, you’ll see in Contrapuntal a certain ability to empathize with others. For effective debating, that is as important an attribute as any. He is also growing over time. Almost all of us bring something positive to the table. Lately, I’ve begun giving more of an effort to figuring out what that is in everyone.

My experience with his ‘insight’ is repeatedly having been called a liar myself because he failed to comprehend the answer he had been given and observing him call someone else a liar over something similarly lacking in substance or information.
ETA: seems it’s a word he’s fond of; 47 posts have him using it.
I didn’t know much of him, but what I’ve seen hasn’t impressed me at all. It was him being judgmental that put me off. I’m willing to change my opinion, but I’d need to see better from him than I have thus far.

I’m intrigued about why someone who has suuuuuch a high IQ* can’t even manage to spell the usernames of people he is directly responding to (in some cases where he’s even quoted them in his own posts!) correctly.
