I pit Classmates.com (lame)

I’m planning a website…I will now have to include a section for phrases that meet the “____er than ________” format. I think Ana will be my main contributor.

Oh…was there an OP? Clasmates? Shoot, I only cared about one person in high school (25 years ago) and she’s on thin ice as well.

Ex “Gold Member” here. It was very useful when trying to arrange our 10 year high school reunion (why I subscribed), and I may have been inclined to remain a paying member.

Except, as paying member, you still get bombarded with pop-up ads everytime you click on a link to access another page. I wrote a letter complaining about it, and they sent me a polite “too bad, that’s the way it works”. I declined to renew after that.

I thought about signing up, but then realized that I already know how to reach my entire graduating class. They all live in my apartment!

(I was homeschooled)

You mean, like Myspace? Yeah, I hear they’re doing OK financially.

Yep, in addition to the MySpace, Facebook and clones there are a ton of networking sites like LinkedIn and Yahoo! 360 that fill the same gap. I often wonder why Classmates is still around. It must be the amount of advertising that they do.

Yeah, I hate their ads. SHE MARRIED HIM??? WHAT THE HELL DID THAT RIGHTEOUS DREAMBOAT SEE IN THAT UGLY SKANK? AND THEY HAD 7 KIDS!

I apprecaite all the heads up about Classmates. No way will I ever give them a cent.
