I pit DrDeth

You’re conflating Dinsdale (social security) with DrDeth (Fed). Get your D’s straight, D!

Unless they were mistaken, DrDeez is only a Fed in his mind, and social security in real life.

I believe he once referred to himself as “mostly a desk guy.”

Is “mostly” doing a whole lot of lifting there? Well, sure.

Yeah, not “Fed” as in FBI but as in "fed"eral employee. Deliberately misleads people with that one. I don’t recall which thread but got really defensive about how it was still a valid use of “Fed”.

I think it is the Social Security office (seems to actually have some expertise on SS) but could be some other part of the federal bureaucracy.

LOL, by that measure, when I worked at a US Navy movie theater, I worked directly for the federal government, technically for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR). That means I was a “fed”. (To be fair, I did have an actual civil service rank, NF-1, which meant I worked part time making minimum wage.)

But yeah, I can claim that I spent time “as a fed” popping popcorn and selling tickets.

Also a couple of my best friends work for SS (well, one retired a couple years ago). It’s not particularly glamorous. Don’t expect a new drama on ABC called “Social Security Adventures” with stakeouts and gunfights and foiling terrorist plots.

They also serve who only stand and wait for the popcorn to stop popping.

Cleaning the popcorn maker was the grunt work.

This exactly. The guy is an idiot.

There’s a real-life Dr. Deth who used to be a go-to “authority” for antivaxers blaming the thimerosal preservative that used to be in vaccines for causing autism.

"it’s the scientific community’s inability to provide a definitive cause (for autism) that has led so many to thimerosal. “The final answer to me will come when that paper is written that says, ‘This is what causes autism’,” said Dr. Richard Deth, a pharmacologist at Northeastern University in Boston, who calls thimerosal “a prime suspect.”

And he moved to California? That certainly would explain why he’d want to hide his identity in these parts.

I just spent way too much time researching that to discover, (spoiler alert) he wasn’t even right about California.

The only ideal in play is “I’m right and you’re not and you’re a stoopid doodoohead.”

And he is completely consistent in this. Lay whatever charges you wish at his feet, but “hypocrisy” isn’t one that can stick.

He doesn’t believe any of his own shit, other than “I’m right, STFU.”

You know, it just occurred to me what a dangerous person and potential threat to the government I am. I mean, I always knew I was special and of grandiose importance but never consider just how much so. The Feds personally check up on me by sending an agent to my home almost every day of the week. They only take off on Sundays and federal holidays.

Apologies to the USPS.

Mostly sitting at a desk, but sometimes gets up to get a snack from the vending machine.

I get that bashing Trump is the raison d’etre for many on this board but Jesus Fucking Christ, DrDeth brings it up in every thread he’s in - even if it has nothing to do with Trump. I could post a banana bread recipe and he’d try to hijack it into a Fuck Trump thread.

“Orange zest? I hate everything orange because of Trump.”

Try sticking to military or history threads, I don’t recall him ever ranting about the orange one in those. He seems to be too busy getting everything possible factually wrong and inventing tales of his father and Douggie MacArthur’s relationship.

Seriously, can we get a topic ban for DrDeez posting about anything related to the military or history? Now he’s trying to threadjack the “Why were collective farms so bad at farming?” with his usual factually incorrect garbage by comparing the T-34s encountered by Germany in June 1941 with models of the Pz-IV introduced in March 1942 in response to the T-34 as if they were the models of the Pz-IV in use in June 1941.

What any of this has to do with collective farming is beyond me.

I don’t know anything about tanks but I can see that he posted that in response to your post about tanks.

Saw that myself.
