I wasn’t even following that particular conversation, but I note that Magiver also rates himself as the perfect car driver, who never makes a mistake. OK, I admit that I’ve bragged about never having an accident in 50+ years of driving, but that’s just a fact – I don’t claim that I haven’t made many mistakes, as we all do, and gotten away with them. Magiver is apparently the very personification of perfection. He simply doesn’t make mistakes – ever.
