Obama would make a terrible skylight.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by their VT-coefficient.
I liked that TV show.
I don’t pit Romney. I don’t think he’s a bad person. I just don’t think he’d be a really good president. He’s got too narrow a vision. He can see the kind of things that effect Mitt Romney and people like him but he misses all the other issues that effect people that aren’t like him. A president should be able to see all of the country.
I missed that one - what was it?
(I think anything over 400 is waste of money; they don’t last. I like 250 - the sheets feel sturdy and crisp but are still smooth. Irish B&Bs have the best sheets I’ve ever slept on.)
Imagine if FDR were running instead of Romney. Not just rich, but diet earn a dime of it himself rich. And with a patrician accent that the SNL cast members would kill each other to be the designated parody character.
But there the similarity ends. Even if it could be argued that FDR’s efforts was primarily to keep the poor from rising up and exterminating the patricians (The late Gore Vidal’s theory, unsurprisingly), it still recognized the danger that the entire US is in if a crucial percentage of its population is threatened.
Romney’s America assumes that as long as there are a few, no matter how few, at the top, those below will always be afforded their fair share as the natural order of thing.
It makes perfect sense to Romney and millions others because it’s an ancient myth. And so what worries me about a Romney presidency isn’t the unfairness, but that he won’t realize just what a huge fucking job he needs to assume. Sure, his hair will turn Snow White as all of their’s do, but he’ll use that same GWB “hey, what do you want from me?” voice as he waits on that natural order of things.
Mrs. Romney made a comment on The View regarding serving in the military. She felt her sons serving a mission for her church was the same form of service as serving in the military.
I Googled it and this hit… http://www.salon.com/2012/10/20/ann_mormon_missions_are_just_like_military_service/
I’m thinking she’ll be one first class dingbat for a First Lady if her hubby wins.
“Tag”. Poor kid, I know it’s not his fault, but that sounds like a Palin name!
The irony is that Roosevelt was actually the “poor” candidate when he first ran for President. Roosevelt was certainly rich but Hoover was significantly richer.
I gave some 600-thread count sheets a try one time. I was so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep a wink. So, I looked and damned if there wasn’t a pea stuck between the mattress and box spring.
Just think. Tag might actually get his own planet in the afterlife. And all his people will pray in his holy name. I guess I wouldn’t be too worried about “Tag” if I believed in all that.
What the hell is wrong with liberals? I mean, I dislike Obama as a President, intensely, I think his presidency is not good for the country, I hate his ideology and I would love to see him lose and would throw a party when/if he does. But I don’t think he is devil personified on Earth, I don’t think he is an asshole personally, I don’t think he’s a bad person (in fact, I have no idea what kind of person he is, there is no way to tell, public persona has no bearing whatsoever on this).
What is it with liberals that requires them to hate their opponents personally and not just politically? Not just Mitt. Was the same with Bush and McCain, not to mention irrational personal hatred for Gingrish, Santorum etc. etc. etc. Dozens of examples at least.
For the record, I think this pitting is silly. However…
I didn’t, so I guess in some respect I should bow to your opinion in this regard, but I see a distinct difference between avoiding the draft and not enlisting.

You might not think Obama is the devil personified, but yours is a pretty retarded argument considering how much personal animosity many conservatives have for him. The “devil personified” bit is also a poor choice of words.
I know. Them damn liberals. Going on about how Mitt is a muslim terrorist that wasn’t even born in this country. Calling him a socialist or an antichrist! They’re taking all the civility out of politics!
I hope those liberals get what they deserve: a stern lecture on the value of proper manners and decorum!!
I sincerely love how this pea-pickin’ pittin’ has centered upon thread counts.
Try this board. Count how many “conservatives” expressed hatred for Obama personally. Or Clinton. Then look at this thread and others for the liberals’ personal hatred of Republican politicians. Compare and contrast.
Go to Free Republic, or some other right-leaning board. Then YOU compare and contrast.
I for one don’t think Romney’s evil incarnate, or the worst candidate ever. I do think he’s an idiot and would make a horrible president.
Who do you nominate for that distinction?
This is Mitt.
See Mitt.
See Mitt run.
Run Mitt, run.
I pit Mitt.
Mitt is in the Pit.
Poor Mitt.
But how does the OP feel about Brad Pitt?
Or Eartha Kitt?
Or Loretta Swit?
Or Alicia Witt?
