I pit over-the-top Anti-Trump hysteria

And you’re leaving out the context in which you cited a FoxNews report that was already contradicted by other evidence.

The point you are deflecting from is that we don’t know what happened to those prisoners. And we should. Especially those being held with no due process. Especially given what we know about the treatment of many prisoners we do know about.

But please keep telling us we’re exaggerating and lying. And that things aren’t really that bad.

When credible centrist/left-of center media begins widely and enthusiastically propagating our innumerable lies, exaggerations, and outright fabrications, then I’ll take your point.

We’re a billion miles from there.

No, I’m not the one deflecting away from the real problem. I’m the one saying we should be doing something about the real problems.

Are people be arrested illegally? Yes. Are missing prisoners being held illegally without due process? Yes. Are people being deported illegally? Yes. These are real things that are happening. We should be working against these real things.

Have twelve hundred prisoners been fed to alligators? No, that’s really unlikely. And people who say they were, with no evidence, are exaggerating and lying. Things aren’t really that bad. Literally. That’s what these words mean.

But saying so is a rhetorically useful way to call attention to the fact that we cannot disprove it, when it should be easy to do so. All we can do right now is say, “well, it’s exceedingly unlikely.”

And one of them has said we should feed every Hispanic in the country to alligators and I’m not aware of her being driven out of the cult so I’m quite comfortable accusing the cult of enacting plans they haven’t denounced.

I’ll go back to my (exaggerated for effect) prior comment:

Der_Trihs is not Laura Loomer.

Lemme’ go a step further.

The “They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets … of the people … that live there” lie was told by – among others – Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance, in, at, and on profoundly public platforms and events.

Where’s the Democratic equivalent?

Fox (and other conservative outlets) spreads every lie that MAGA tells, or wants them to tell. Despite having to write a $787.5M check for doing so, they still line up, exuberantly, to flack administration bullshit.

Where’s the left-wing equivalent of any of that? Or is it really (still) just Der_Trihs and a handful of others – some of whom are doubtless bots, troll farms, and AI – on social media?

Trump does/says 27 fascist/stupid things today.

“You guys are taking number 13 out of context, you hysterical idiots.”

It’s ironic that you appear to understand the idea I’m discussing.

One right winger, Laura Loomer, says something over-the-top stupid. Other right wingers stay silent and don’t denounce her for saying this over-the-top stupid thing. So by not denouncing her, you feel that the political movement in general deserves to be associated with her stupid remark.

I’m pointing out the danger of the same thing happening to us. That if one anti-Trump person says something over-the-top stupid and the rest of us stay silent and don’t denounce them for saying this over-the-top stupid thing, then the anti-Trump movement in general can become associated with their stupid remark.

But people aren’t seeing this connection. I’m being told that when an anti-Trump person says something stupid, we’re all supposed to give them support because they’re an ally.

No …we are saying the words we are saying, then you are reinterpreting those words to fit your little narrative.

I like that advocating for genocide is just ‘says something over-the-top stupid’.

Except that I quote the words you are saying. If I quote what you’re saying and it makes you look bad, that’s on you.

Sorry, what’s the correct term? Super-ultra-over-the-top-mega-mega-MEGA-stupid?

Monstrous, criminal, obscene, etc, etc.
But don’t let us stop you from minimizing everything Trump and MAGA does.

The word we are looking for is…EVIL.

Talk about advocating for genocide, Trump and Hegseth are restoring the Medals of Honor to 19 of the perpetrators of the Massacre of the Lakota at Wounded Knee, medals which were previously revoked by Congress in 1990, for which Congress officially apologised for that same year.

Please, act of stupidity at Wounded Knee.

No, what happened at Wounded Knee was a massacre. Three hundred people were killed. That was a real thing that happened.

‘Above we see the woke anti-American calumny disparaging the memory of the heroic war fighters of The First War on Terrorism.’ ~ Future MAGA Historian

I called Trump evil in the first line of this thread.

But according to crowmanyclouds, I’m minimizing everything Trump does.

So keep up, Czarcasm, calling Trump evil is no longer enough.

The correct term now is Trump is monstrous, criminal, obscene, etc, etc.. And don’t you dare only use one etc.

Your really fond of building strawmen aren’t you?
