Even if the bruised apple has a worm in it that you will have to dig out or eat around, it’s still better than a pile of shit.
Yeah. “Bothsides” arguments just don’t work when one of the sides is so blatantly, rabidly worse than the other. This isn’t like having to choose between Stalin and Hitler; it’s like having to choose between Nixon and Hitler. And while Nixon was a bad guy who did bad things, he certainly was no Hitler.
Uh, the point is the same, Obama pressured Israel to make a cease fire in Gaza when unrest took place in 2014.
And again, the pressure did come because it was clear that Israel got the upper hand. Trump, it seems, will never find Israel as having already the upper hand x times over.
Deported? Released? Escaped? Moved to another facility? Fed to alligators? Still there but not in the system? Who knows?
The article says: “When searching for people detained there, the ICE locator now says, ‘Call the Florida Department of Corrections for details,’” said Luis Sorto of Sanctuary of the South, which has taken part in litigation over access to legal representation at the facility.
So “moved to another facility” seems to be more likely than “fed to alligators”.
I don’t actually think they were fed to alligators. Or that they escaped. But “deported” does remain a strong option too.
Sold to the highest bidder, as the farm equipment they are(/s), is also on the table.
It is only more likely if they can actually answer your question about a specific prisoner. If they can’t, this is just buck-passing.
The article also says “Confusion persists over how many have been deported or moved. Some detainees told reporters they were pressured into agreeing to deportation. One Miami immigration lawyer, Alex Solomiany, said he discovered his client had been accidentally deported to Guatemala while he was seeking him at another detention centre.”
So you feel prisoners being transferred to another prison and being fed to alligators are equally likely possibilities.
I “feel” that they haven’t actually answered questions about what happened to all the prisoners.
Than say that. Stick to the facts. Because the facts about what Trump is doing are terrible enough. Making shit up just helps Trump get away with what he’s actually doing.
Here’s the Fox News report version of this story:
"Those whacky anti-Trump nuts are at it again. They’re claiming that the illegals that ICE has arrested are being fed to alligators. What is it with these people? Too much drugs?
Fox News tracked these supposedly dead illegals down and found that they are all safe and alive in detention centers run by the Florida Department of Corrections.
What will these people think of next in their ongoing quest to hurt America?"
The story stops being about Trump illegally arresting people and putting them in prison and becomes about people being fed to alligators.
Donald Trump says “thanks”.
In 1934? No, In 1944? Yes. Currently we are in ~1940.
That you even considered this to be a rational response is an indictment of your position. And then, after this hyperbolic strawman, you demand others “stick to the facts”?
And tell us: are they all “safe and alive” in Florida? Or have some been deported as posted above?
“So you feel…” and “So what you are saying is…” are two brightly lit signs that what follows is a bullshit strawman reinterpretation that does not deserve a response.
I think that might be true in a world where Trump and MAGA media gave even the tiniest shit about:
- Fairness
- Accuracy
- Honesty
- Integrity
- What Democrats or progressive media figures actually say
But this isn’t that world.
Did you, by any chance, catch the Jimmy Kimmel thing? Did you notice the massive difference between what pissed off MAGAs and what Kimmel actually said?
I did. I’ve been noticing that for about a decade now.
Follow along.
There it is. I said it was more likely that the prisoners were moved than fed to alligators. Czarcasm said it was not more likely.
Don’t say dumb things and people won’t point out you said a dumb thing.
Yes, magas exaggerate and lie and say stupid things that aren’t true.
I’m saying we shouldn’t act like magas.
I’ll jump in, because why not. I think we’re about to see a major escalation by Trump / Hegseth next week. Get ready for Trump to demand a personal loyalty oath from all the generals and admirals, with a purging (probably just short of what Stalin would have done) of those that refuse.
It is rather obvious that we don’t.
