I hesitate to say this, But I have a friend from Central America. Now this guy is completely ‘Americanized’ did service in the Army and the Navy. Served in Vietnam. Dude is tough as nails. It is not a binary choice, the fact that you talk of the “lesser evil” shows that you understand that two candidates can be considered bad while having a clear seperation between them. Its perfectly rational to say that Trump is much much worse than Biden, while still finding Bidens “lesser evil” to be unsuitable for office.
You (and many others) seem to think the only moral choice is to vote for the lesser evil, but that is just an opinion, not some universal truth. There is nothing wrong with having some minimum standards that you hold candidates to.
FTR, no. The UAE supports one side of the conflict (the RSF); Egypt supports the opposing army, along with weapons from Turkey, Qatar and Iran. Russia’s Wagner group supplied the RSF with weapons in 2023.
USAID provided 44% of the world’s humanitarian funding in 2024 for Sudan. I would expect a death toll from that, but not genocide, nuclear war, or other separate categories of atrocity.

Many of these leftists did vote democrat last election, but Biden/Harris then refused to do anything for them, relying on the fact that Trump was worse and therefore they’d have to vote Democrat. People like you are then surprised when they stop voting.
It seems they get the same response from the Democrats whether they vote or not, so why should they support them.

My father was a stanch Republican, but did not vote because “it won’t matter”. I don’t think my brother follows politics whatsoever. Both of them idiots at least in that regard.
I’m not talking to anyone in particular here, but saying you could not chose a candidate is nothing more than a sad attempt at excusing being lazy and uninformed. FULL STOP. Especially in states with vote by mail. Shit, in Summit County CO they kept heated transit buses parked outside so no one would have to wait in the cold. A blue county, but we wanted anyone that could vote, vote.
Also, if you do not vote, you have given up your right to complain about whatever the administration is doing. Again, FULL STOP.
We’re not talking about people who couldn’t be bothered to vote, or who were too uninformed to make a choice. These are people that have looked at both candidates and decided that neither are acceptable. Why are they not allowed to hold this opinion?
