I pit over-the-top Anti-Trump hysteria

I’ve said before that if anybody has a better plan, they should be offering it up.

But if you don’t have a better plan, then telling everyone they should give up and do nothing is not a plan.

And I’ve said before: anyone who still has a Trumpist in their social circle needs to cut them out and tell them why. Trumpists grandparents need to eat Christmas dinner at Denny’s cutoff from their grandchildren. There should be no place among polite society for fascists. Anyone who had Thanksgiving dinner with a Trumpist is no better than anyone in MAGA. Stop giving any comfort to fascists and it would wither.

So just to be clear, are you saying this is a plan? Or just something we should be doing as a moral stand?

Way too late for that. That technique works when there are only a few people to use it on. When there’s a lot of them, they just pull in tighter with each other; more convinced than ever that they’re right.

How’s ‘Shut up and vote for the Democrat’ been working for ya?

I get that you’re not willing to have Thanksgiving dinner with a Trumpist — but if you think anyone who did have Thanksgiving dinner with a Trumpist is no better than anyone in MAGA, then would you have Thanksgiving dinner with one of them?

I’ve said before that if anybody has a better plan, they should be offering it up.

Let’s try “Shout out and vote for the Democrats. Including shouting at them when necessary. And if you’re up to it run for office while you’re at it.”

Ask us again on November 4th.

I’ll ask again a year after November 4th.

I agree with all of this. But I’d add “Encourage other people to vote for the Democrats as well.”

Yes, with all of those Republicans voting for the Democrats we can have an entire Senate of Fettermans.

There is a third enemy that your message doesn’t address at all - all of the outsiders who are pouring money into the Republican party. Go look at who is funding the new ballroom. It’s not Republican politicians and it isn’t MAGA.

Okay, what’s the plan to bypass Republican politicians and go after the people who are financing them?

The enemy has always been capitalism. You don’t need to speak in riddles.

That’ll sure get those ‘on the fencers’ to vote D!

Just over half of U.S. adults, 54%, have a positive view of capitalism, according to the new survey, a slight decline from 61% in 2010.

According to the survey, only 42% of Democrats view capitalism favorably, while 66% have a positive view of socialism.

Young adults generally — but particularly younger Democrats — are much less positive about capitalism than they were 15 years ago. Only 31% of Democrats under 50 have a positive view of capitalism, the new poll found, compared to 54% in 2010.

Now tell us the numbers for Republicans?
Ya know, the folks that the wooing of this thread’s goal posts were never about.

the Gallup poll found that only 14% of Republicans have a positive view of socialism

Why are you asking me? You’ve clearly got this all figured out.

The Republicans love corporate socialism. Does that count?
