I pit Pantsuits.

None of those five are English, I take it.

Tip: if you’re going to insult people on the Internet, “hermaphrodite” is a very useful word to know.

I agree. I worked at a large campus in my last office gig. I was amazed at how many younger women did the no-hose thing. The older ones still did it. I also notice that opaque hose are very popular in this area (on account of cold freekin’ winters). But on hot summer days, even the old broads were doing the bare legs thing. Shudder! The thought of it makes me uncomfortable.

Women in well-fitting business wear, be it skirt or pantsuit–very sexy. Glasses are a bonus. The whole look screams smart, motivated, classy, independent. Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe he meant Hamas-phrodites. They believe in a two-sex solution in the Promised Land.

That is undeniable.

I’m thinking that unless these stylish pantsuits that everyone’s linking to aren’t available in England* (which I doubt), what he’s really unhappy about is that the women don’t look like models. Obviously, Rosie has posted a picture proving that the pantsuits sold off the rack are in fact the same ones they the models are pictured in. They’re not pulling some scam where the models are pictured in cothes that don’t actually exist and selling some scaled down versions of men’s clothing.

So maybe what he’s really saying is, “Hey fatty! You already don’t live up to the feminine ideal with that belly and those thunder thighs, so why don’t you hide that under a skirt so I don’t confuse you with a man with long hair?”

Still, kind of stupid. We don’t have any evidence of this unprofessional dress, and even I own a pantsuit for job interviews and the like (tweed rocks, I wish I could wear it more often in Florida) that I purchased from- wait for it -Walmart.

*Or whereever the OP’s from where the men dress like that.

Oh my.

Dearie, I think you’d look awful in a pantsuit. If I saw you in one, I’d tear if off of your body.

With my teeth.

If he lives in the UK, he’s not going to be too far from M&S where you can pick up one of these…

I am not required to wear “dress” suits of any kind at work, we’re a pretty casual office although I like to look reasonably smart. Tailored trousers are always good, although I do sometimes wear skirts but only if I can wear boots with them. Longer skirt with calf-length boots, shorter skirt with knee-high boots. No pantyhose (we call 'em tights), never. That’s an abomination.

See, AK84? That’s how you get rid of a pantsuit.

When I grow up, I want to be you.

I think the Pants Suited models above are waay hotter than the Skirt ones…
I think the Skirt models would cause me to pay more attention to them as a person while the pant suits would make me go “wow! That’s kinda sexy!”
At least in the case of the models presented there.
YMMV.

So I guess around me, you should just wear skirts. To be safe.
Or Pantsuits. I wouldn’t complain.

I’m 33 and have simply ceased wearing hose and never will wear it again. I’ll wear tights (thick opaque pantyhoe) in the wintertime, occasionally, but I hate hose. It is an abomination and like bras, some man somewhere planned it without having any idea of what it really feels like. Come to think of it, I don’t even understand trans people who wear them. Here I am throwing off the shackles of dress and you are putting them back on.

In my current job we do a lot of business casual so I wear lots of knee-length skirts in the summer and fall without hose, just bare legs. I have naturally tanned legs and I maintain my feet, so I really don’t care beyond that. I admit I am lucky in that my legs start out at a natural tan, but honestly, pantyhose are tres stupid. If a woman likes to wear them, more power to her, but I refuse to wear them myself - especially the ultra-thin hose that tears as soon as you look at it.

But if I go on an interview guranteed it’s a pantsuit. I just feel more comfortable and don’t have to worry about the skirt.

Every man who complains women don’t wear enough skirts needs to cross dress for a full year and then get back to us.

Then you’ll bitch because of all the unattractive girls or plain Janes dare to show too much skin. Can’t win.

It’s more of a contamination thing than a safety thing. I work in a(n almost) cleanroom.

Presumably, trans women wear them because they’re a visual cue for gender.

I only wear pantyhose to job interviews. I never see a woman under 40 wearing hose anymore. (I very rarely see a woman over 40 not, though, of course. Especially black ladies. My middle aged black coworkers didn’t believe me when I said young women, including me, never wear hose anymore - one of them snuck up on me to feel my leg the next day. I don’t know why she thought I’d buy hose in the horrible color my legs are!)

While I don’t care for hose (I prefer dark colored tights) and find them uncomfortable I totally feel naked without some leg coverage with skirts. Which is a lovely way to feel on a spring or summer day as I flit about town, but is awkward and uncomfortable at work. The last time I wore a dress without tights to work I was uncomfortable all day, not to mention surprised and annoyed by all the hairy eyeballs I encountered from women I passed in the hallway. Clearly they thought I was too naked, too.

Not only do I not wear hose when I wear skirts with my suits… I sometimes even wear (gasp) open toed shoes!

My fellow 20-somethings, unite with me against our frumpy-shoed, hose-wearing oppressors!

I hate skirts and almost never wear them. Luckily, the place I work lets me be as much of a hermaphrodite as I want! So, what am I wearing so as to be as confusing as possible? Jjeans, a tee shirt, and sneakers- same as the guys! Hm. No one called me “sir” on the way in… I guess scientists must be extra observant to notice subtle things like secondary sex characteristics!
