The facts about 9/11 and the intelligence failures that led up to it are now widely known precisely because the media, along with the 9/11 Commission, thoroughly investigated it and exposed the facts. This was possible because there was a strong and unified non-partisan interest in establishing all the facts about a national tragedy.
Trump is the exact opposite. The media overall has been inept about assiduously exposing his lies, like for instance the absence of fact-checking during the debate and letting him get away with avoiding answering direct questions. But more importantly, the right-wing media whose viewers and readers are inclined to vote for him rarely covers any of the exposures of his lies and in fact often actively promotes them. The blatant partisanship is so extreme that those who are inclined to vote for him never even see the facts; they just see his lies being reinforced.

Also, the fact that Rice lied multiple times to the 9/11 Commission has fuck-all to do with anything, since all those lies were exposed a long time ago.

That’s not what she said, look at the cite. She may have said that for the official 911 commission report, but that is not what she said.

The key point is not only that it backs up what I said but that it also contradicts what the Bush people were saying at the time.
In other words they were lying. The reason why doesn’t really matter, the board may think they lied to cover there asses and stay in power, I think they lied for partly that reason.

OK, I concede that the media quote is much closer to what you claimed Rice said than what she officially said to the 9/11 Commission. But here’s my question again, for maybe the third time. Why does this matter?
Various members of the Bush administration lied like rugs immediately following 9/11. So what? We know they lied. The 9/11 Commission knew they lied. Everyone knows they were lying liars who lied. We’ve known it almost since the beginning of the investigations. So why the fuck do you keep bringing it up? The lies are all ancient history. We’ve known for nearly 23 years what really happened.
