Yeah, bitch. You were in a big hurry, weren’t you.
The way it went down:
My girlfriend was at a gas station fueling up. She took the opportunity to clean her windshield.
Goatfelcher in big pick-em-up truck waiting for gas shouts at her that “this isn’t a carwash, lady!”
Girlfriend rightly tells the guy that the squeegees aren’t there for show.
Guy gets mad, attempts to swing big truck around to get to another pump.
Guy scrapes car, driving by.
Guy apologizes, saying he shouldn’t have been in such a hurry.
No shit. You think? Maybe a little human decency would have sufficed?
Then maybe you wouldn’t have damaged two vehicles because of what a hurry you were in and how desperate you were to prove that you do not have a small penis, and diven up your insurance premium in the process?
Was your girlfriend cleaning her windshield while the gas was pumping, or was she blocking a pump she wasn’t using? Because the latter would put her solidly in the “selfish” category if she was keeping someone else waiting.
Not really…if you’re in an accident where fault was determined (ie it was clearly the fault of the other driver) then your premiums (depending on your carrier) will not go up.
This is more a case of the individual insurance carrier’s policies than state policies. No-fault states just mean that each person carries coverage for his/her own vehicle, and their insurance is who pays out after an accident. The insurance companies can then go after each other after an accident to colect deductibles, and such.
