And it was the story OVER THE FUCKING WEEKEND. How long do you want it on the front page? When they get the results, I bet it’ll be there again.
No, because it doesn’t exist.
Your news judgment is duly noted. When you run your own media outlet, you can deliberately stop covering new events in order to leave stories you like at the top of the page. I applaud your unique business model.
If anyone else actually believed that, maybe it would be front page news again today. Sorry, but everybody’s heard these buzzwords before and seen these elections before. Even the Bush administration has finally quit claiming that the violence is going to go away next week. That makes this news seem less significant, and it’s not as if it was ignored.
Nothing. It’s just that of all the liberal posters on the board currently, I find that you’re the one most likely to make unsubstantiated, over-broad charges against conservatives with little regard for the accuracy of the charges.
To be fair, perhaps we should give the recently reinstated lissener a few days to reacquaint himself with the waters. He was always a pretty strong contender for that title.
Take your place on the bench right next to Clothahump, pal. You might be able to learn a few things from him. Like, for instance, how to at least *fake * having some substance behind a post.
Daniel can just name me from now on, so Elvis doesn’t get pissed. I’d be flattered if I were considered the eponym for raving liberal lunatic on the board, and I’m sorry I haven’t done my job well enough to have already earned the title.
So here is my new thread suggestion: I think Bush fixed the upcoming World Series by paying off 8* of the WhiteSox to throw the series.
*To be fair, “Shoeless” Scott Podsednek took the money, but will still try to win.
U.S. Encouraged by Vietnam Vote: Officials Cite 83% Turnout Despite Vietcong Terror
"United States officials were surprised and heartened today at the size of turnout in South Vietnam’s presidential election despite a Vietcong terrorist campaign to disrupt the voting.
"According to reports from Saigon, 83 per cent of the 5.85 million registered voters cast their ballots yesterday. Many of them risked reprisals threatened by the Vietcong.
“The size of the popular vote and the inability of the Vietcong to destroy the election machinery were the two salient facts in a preliminary assessment of the nation election based on the incomplete returns reaching here.”
Dammit! No sooner had I clicked the ‘submit’ button on my last post, a beautifully crafted post, a post which would have made us laugh, made us cry, solved the Riemann Zeta hypothesis, sketched out the beginnings of a grand unified theory of everything and ended with a bonus slow motion money shot, than this dogshit server decides to throw a hissy fit and flush it down the memory hole.
Oh well, c’est la vie. In precis: Clothahump. You’re a dumbass, and this thread will forever stand as testament to your dumbassedness. Don’t ever stop posting here. You’re just too precious :wally
