I think we may have found our solution.
They way those two go on, I expect it’s only a matter of time before one of them gets their ass banned. When that happens, it’s almost inevitable that the other will immediately go straight into meltdown mode and get banned within 24 hours.

It’s hard to tell how many there are, since everyone’s name seems to be “anonymous”. I guess I was just thinking that there couldn’t be that many people with an interest in cowardly sniping.
Maybe it really is more usefully than it looks. During my brief visit however, I found nothing, nothing at all, other than puerile mockery of people not around to defend themselves. I’m not outraged though. Quite the contrary. It says more about the participants than the objects of ridicule.

One thing no one’s mentioned yet…and I think I can speak, because I’ve been the subject of their bitchfests a couple times (that I know of) on the other board.
I don’t really have a problem with that board, anymore anyway. It used to bother me more, but now I figure, different strokes, right? I don’t go there, people do, they bitch about people here, that’s OK I guess. If that’s what they want to do.
But nearly all of the rest of them manage to keep the two boards seperate. It’s just you and your wife that keep bringing them up and trying to cause what? a board war? Why? Let them do their thing…be it bitching, or posting useful information that’s not allowed here, or discussing topics not allowed here, and let us do our thing.
The two boards are different. Please, *keep * them different. If you just wanted to pit the entire SDMB community, you could have done it without flagrantly breaking the rules, and I know you *knew * the rules before you did that, since your wife got smacked down before for doing something similar when she pitted Evil Captor.

The sheer hate stuff is kind of dull. Most probably perpetrated by a small number of anonymous people. Other (non hate) criticism posted there can be apt and extremely amusing. For me, snark=/=hate.
The discussion of topics that can’t be discussed here is also useful and interesting.
Then of course there are those that can’t post here any more because they haven’t paid, or have been banned, so anon communities are a way to still participate in some way. I think you’re right in that they won’t die until some time after this place does (if it ever does).
