There are many jerk coaches in the history of college football. Bobby Petrino, Jimmy Johnson, Gene Chizik , Dennis Erickson, Chip Kelly, Steve Spurrier, just to name a few. Yet, Lane Kiffin takes jerkitude to a new level. Running off from Tennessee after one year. embarrassing the Oakland Raiders, and then firing an unpaid intern for 'deflating the footballs." This scum of the earth managed to take USC from a #1 ranking to unranked in an embarrassing 2012 debacle of a season. Of course, I"m sure he probably voted USC #1.

Now, after a loss to Washington State, I so hope he is fired this week. I’d love to be the $10 an hour security guard watching over him as he cleans out his office!

I’m a Florida State alum, so I don’t have a dog in this fight except that I watch a lot of Pac 12 football. Kiffin needs to be sent packing, and working the night shift at a Motel 6 in Twinhole, Montana.

The only drawback to him possibly getting fired from his job at USC is that he will just turn around and piss everyone off by somehow getting an even BETTER job. This man’s ability to fail upward borders on the supernatural. I fully expect that, three or four jobs down the line, he will be Emperor of the Galaxy or something equally prestigious and undeserved.

As a University of Alabama grad, Lane Kiffin almost made me feel sorry for Tennessee. Believe me, that’s saying a lot. :wink:

I haven’t been paying attention. This is a news story to me.

If anybody believes that the the student manager did this on his own then they should pull all their teeth to get extra money from the tooth fairy. The only reason a student manager is with a team is that they do exactly what they are told. They are people that are willing to be servants in order to be close to the team. That’s fine if that’s what they want to do. I’m not being judgmental. Anybody that thinks they do anything of their own volition that affects the team is deluded. Any semi-reputable coach would show the student manager the door if he/she didn’t keep the balls properly inflated.
