I saw a ghost...

OK-not really. I just wish. Anyone ever seen anything
supernatural?
Sorry- I’m sure this subject has been covered before,
but I just love a good ghost story!

has been covered before.

I never saw a ghost, but a very good friend lives in a “Haunted House”. Really. The ghost is of some relative. He died before electricity and loves to play with the can opener and light switches. He died going to get his mail and now sometimes brings the mail in for my friend. He also likes to play the antique Victrola.

Nothing that couldn’t be explained with science.

Yes, I figured there are few new topics under the sun
around here!
Is there a search function to find an old thread about
this topic? I’d love to browse through it!

Look up “Very Vaguely Creepy” under this very forum.

Oooooooooh… better not do that…

My ex once saw a hooded figure walking down a path. She’s a photographer and it made a nice image, so she went to photograph it and the figure turned and looked straight at her. This was from some distance away. No figure showed up on the photo. I asked if she thought it was a ghost and she said, quite intriguingly, “No… it was just someone who didn’t want to be photographed.”
Stuff like this is always happening to me. Stuff that would be creepy if I didn’t believe it was God simply letting me know He’s still talking to me. A while ago I was staring at a 4-room plan of an area in the church we’re going to decorate, and my mother rang to tell me my new PIN number. It was precisely the same sequence of numbers I was staring at, as she told me. An uncanny miracle, and completely useless for anything but its intended purpose.

You talkin’ about me?

Seriously, last fall, everyone in my class year in my outfit went out on a weekend trip to one of our Freshman’s ranches(his family has 3). While we were out there, we heard coyotes crying, made jokes about it, and sat around a campfire.

Then in the woods a robe-claded figure came running out, right past us. He was very short, like about 3 ft. couldn’t make out any features on his face, except faintly glowing eyes. Let out a screech, and kept on running, very fast.

Out ran all of us, no mean feet(get it?).

Later came to the conclusion that we saw an alien. My buddies are about evenly divided between that, and a deranged midget.

Obviously, that wasn’t suppose to be a whole quote. Could a mod fix it? thanks.

My friend Z told me a very very creepy story a few nights ago.

A year ago or so, his friend Chris was dating a girl, let’s call her Lisa.

Lisa and her cousin were driving somewhere…Lisa ran off the road, hit a tree, killing them both instantly.

Lisa’s mom gets a call. The caller ID identifies it as Lisa’s cell phone.

A man is on the other end: “Your daughter just had an accident–it looks bad. She’s on road (number), a few miles from (landmark).” Then, the connection clicks off.

When emergency teams and Lisa’s parents get to the scene, they find Lisa’s car with the bodies of the two girls and no sign of anyone else. The cell phone is in the car. Even though it is obvious that they hit the tree, Lisa’s side of the car is covered in paint. No one knows how this happens.

About a week after Lisa’s funeral, Z and Chris and a group of people are at Chris’s house, sitting around and talking. The phone rings. Chris answers, and puts it on speakerphone as he is apt to do when he has company. There’s a click, and the song that was played at Lisa’s funeral begins, plays through, and then the connection clicks off. The caller ID reads as “unavailable.”

No one has any explanation of any of the strange occurences. Even though I’m sure there’s an explanation for everything, it just seems very odd…and a little spooky.
