I saw ‘RANDMA’, and I didn’t get it until I saw that it was a Green Bay Packer plate with the logo on the far left.
I read about a white Rabbit with the plates ‘ML8 ML8’

Okay, it’s cute… but still.
I think my all time favorite (on a VERY nice Corvette, if memory serves) is:

In Indiana, you can get a plate that says “In God We Trust” on the left side. I saw one with a big chrome border that looked like bones. The bones blocked out part of it, so it said “In od we rust.”
I remember a black VW Rabbit with the license plate INLE. Loved that one.
And another one took my mother and I a year to figure out, since we saw it almost every day picking me up from school. It read AUILOX. The woman driving was blond. So confusing!
Au is gold. She’s blond. Goldilocks. Yeah, we groaned too.
For the longest time the security people at my school wondered what my fascination with “foreign sex” was, and how I got away with splashing it across my license plate:
XXX 4N6
None of them had ever heard of the proper definition of the word:
American Heritage Dictionary
**fo·ren·sics ** (fə-rěn’sĭks, -zĭks)
n. (used with a sing. verb)
*The art or study of formal debate; argumentation. *
I saw one recently that said PLANAHE. That was good for a chuckle while creeping around the beltway.
This morning, in front of me, was a minivan full of kids with the plate:
PB4WEGO
Back in the '80s I worked for a guy who liked Popeye. He had a VW Bug with the plate AGAGAGA.
Little help, please?
(I got AUILOX right away. Ha!)
Down in Orange County I used to see a car whose plate said AUGHOTI.
The driver is an effeminate man, a “nelly”.
The best non-vanity license plate.
I just saw a car drive past me on I94 today. A red Monte Carlo with the license plate “LOLITA”.
I don’t use emoticons, but I was making this face: :dubious:
It’s from the novel Watership Down. The Rabbit of Death, in the mythology of Rabbits, is “The Black Rabbit of Inle”
I had a friend who swore she saw that one, too.
The one I love was one I saw at a traffic light,. It took me a minute to figure it out:
ML8 ML8
What made it perfect was that it was on a White Rabbit.
The one I saw was a New Hampshire Plate, but there must be more than one of these, because someone on this Board reported another case from down South.
Dammit! I came in to post that! grumble
Love that plate!!
Me too!
Curses!
Fine, I shall throw down This
Too sweet!
One of the English department faculty at my college had GHOTI. Wonder if he still does. Maybe he’s dead by now and I could get it!!
Reminds me of one seen about 20 years ago on an OB-GYN’s old VW Beetle:
STILDNCN
And longer ago than that, in a similar vein, MUFFDIVR
