And in Ontario I think we use pictorial signs because people speak so many languages that it’s easier just to go around the problem and use pictures. I’m always struck by how wordy US signs are.

Sounds more like cyclists who always take the third Reich.
Googling “translate centre de détente” brings up the literal translation of “relaxation centre” and also references to “wellness”, so I think “spa” is likely the best English transation.
ETA: and now I see that the description actually says “SPA” - missed that looking at the little picture on my phone. :smack:

Ah. Well, that would eliminate the “taxpayer” objection; but I assume the design is still overseen by the MTO? That part would still irk a lot of folks if it happened in the U.S. (as well as questioning whether they should even accept such an ad regardless of design).
