I saw Tommy Chong last night!

We got tickets to the Improv in Houston. He was great! I didn’t know what to expect, and it was my husband who really wanted to go, but wow!

His wife Shelby opened for him, and she was very funny, too. Very pretty lady!

We got there early, and got great seats right in front. We had dinner, which was kinda meh, but the drinks were good!

I’m getting too old to go out on a Sunday night, though. :frowning: I had a bit of a hangover this morning, but I’m feeling better now. Probably had to do with having to get up at four freakin’ thirty…

I’ve always thought he was a funny dude. Glad you enjoyed.

Dude, that’s totally cool, man! I thought you just saw him walking down the street or something, but watching him perform must have been awesome!

I hear you about Sunday nights, too. This morning isn’t treating me too well. :frowning:

You don’t drink at a Tommy Chong show, dummy. You smoke.

I did a Google image search on Tommy Chong, expecting to see some young Asian dude.

Damn near jumped out of my chair.

Interestingly enough, ChiefScott - he requested the venue be non-smoking, as cigarettes are usually allowed. He is vehemently anti (tobacco) smoking!

I wish I could still partake of the green, but alas, the corporate world rules my body…

I must be old, if the youngsters don’t remember Cheech and Chong!

This is really a pleasant surprise. Somewhere on the Dope (hello, Irony) I’d heard he’d really fallen on hard times. So glad to see that’s not at all the case.

I expected that he would look “rode hard and put up wet.” Not at all! He talked about being in jail for selling the “weapons of mass destruction.” (The bongs.) I wish I could remember any of the jokes. I must have killed off too many brain cells in the 70’s.
