I scanned my face!

… I am very work-orientated, yes.

Creepy, no?

Have you scanned anything exciting?

Cooool…

You gotta submit that to the Doper picture gallery.

It’s neat, isn’t it. I think it being a thirty quid scanner probably helps.

I will submit it! Good idea.

If I was haunted by a vengeful ghost… or attacked by a succubus, **that **is what I’d want it to look like. Simply awesome.

…makes me regret implementing that paper-hostile office policy. :smack:

Whoa!

So… how are things at Stepford Inc.?

That is an awesomely cool pic, can’t believe I’ve never seen anyone do it before. Only downside is if the scanner smells like your cow-orker’s butt.

Wow, you’re a stunning, ethereal lollipop head.

Here’s the weirdest scanning-related thing ever.

Years ago - 1996 to be precise - I scanned my hand, giving the traditional salute of disrespect, emailed it to a friend, and forgot all about it.

Fast forward to 2009. I got an iPhone, and put a load of MP3s onto it. This year I was using the “album flow” feature and was flicking through it, and where should have been the cover of Asylum Years by Tom Waits, was my disrespectful hand. Definitely my hand because I recognised a scar, and definitely from 1996 because I have never scanned my hand since.

I can’t find the original jpeg anywhere, and nor does it show up in iTunes. I have no idea how that image managed to hitchhike, parasitically, via MP3 players, successive desktops, laptops and hard drives, for thirteen years, only to turn up on my iPhone.

That is eerie.

Pretty.

But eerie.

New word: Eeritty?

Preeiry?

Prettie?

I gotta ask. Your eyes are open. Does the scanner not blind you or at least damage your vision? Can you read this post? Cool pic though!

No. Pretty cool.

Do you sing or play an instrument? Because that picture is just screaming to become an album cover.

I’ve got a similar pic of myself from several years ago, except the room was dark, so my face floats in a black empty.

Not sure where it is, though - that was about 15 years and five computers ago.

On a similar theme, I used to have a pic that was interesting in a modern art sort of way as it was literally a cat scan, but done on an old three-pass scanner. Most of the cat’s body appears in normal color, but any parts that moved show in broad red/green/blue fringes.

Her eyes! What have you done to your eyes you maniacs!!!

Very pretty nose and lips.

Alice, that is cool!

Would someone please tell me where the famed Doper picture gallery is? I keep hearing about it, and all the hawtness that dwells therein, but I can’t find it.

Those are awesome and hauntingly beautiful.

Click link at 4 pm and I’m like “Wow. That is really pretty and surreal.”
Click link at midnight and I’m like, “Can’t sleep. wolf-alice will murder me”

Here.

That is so cool! It looks all arty too.

I just said to my daughter, ‘we have to scan our heads, Juliette.’
