I seem to have a singular opinion on ATOC (spoiler)

So Yoda is 800+ years old. What ever race Yoda is may live to be 1600 years old and he may just be middle aged. I’m pretty sure the average life span of the little green dude race had never been mentioned in any film. Yes I’ll grant that he was in a fight for his life. But it does seem strange to me that right after Obi-Wan gives a big lecture on what to do, while he is in a big fight and under fire, that Yoda comes to a completly different decision.

I think it was made pretty obvious in ROTJ that 900 years old was… well… old.

Using your logic, we can also think that his race’s average lifespan is five months.

But it does seem strange to me that right after Obi-Wan gives a big lecture on what to do, while he is in a big fight and under fire, that Yoda comes to a completly different decision.

Last I checked, Obi-wan and Yoda are not the same person. This is hardly a decent criticism for them to have different opinions on an issue.

Besides, part of Obi-wan’s decision may have been influenced by his desire to keep Anakin in check.
