I shaved WHAT?!

So about every 6 months or so… I get this crazy idea that I’m gonna shave my girl parts and be all sexy and sing angry Tori Amos songs and whatnot.

Last week whilst showering, the urge took hold. And by the time I wrestled myself free of its evil clutches, I was down to the final touches.

rrrreow I felt pretty. I felt clean. I felt different. It was good.

6 days later and I’m hating myself for it. I’m uncomfortable. I’m itchy. I can never seem to shave close enough. Ye gods. This… THIS… is why I only do this twice a year.

Does anyone else have a regrettable shaving story they’d like to share?

And does anyone have any ideas on how to make my current situation a little more bearable?

I’ve heard sex helps. I just shaved, too, perhaps we could help each other…?

All I have to share is, it was an episode much like yours that earned a female friend the nickname “Stubby”.

My advice: if people notice you squirming, say you have a hemorrhoid. Somehow, that’s less embarrassing than, “My pubes are growing back.”

Maybe we could just roll around together in a big tub’o’Bikini Zone.

shifts uncomfortably

But OH, to be the woman who gets the “And then he lifted up his kilt” story.

Haha!! I’m pretty sure I can make up something a little more ladylike than hemorrhoids.

“Why’re you squirming?”

“I’m pretending I’m a penguin getting a blow job.”
“…Ohhkay…”

For the current itchies, you might try dabbing some apple cider vinegar on with a cosmetic pad or damp washcloth. It probably wouldn’t work well to use a cotton ball.

To avoid the itchies:

  1. Allow plenty of pre-soaking time.

  2. Exfoliate first. Those scrubby synthetic bath gloves are great for this. Go easy!

  3. Always use a fresh razor (expensive, but worth it) and rinse it often.

  4. Use a good moisturizing/sensitive skin shaving cream. Aveeno[sym]ä[/sym] is good, but stay away from the gels that don’t lather. Some people use thick hair conditioner.

  5. After shaving, rinse well and follow up with a good pore tightener, like aloe gel. My favorite is something called Witch Vera[sym]ä[/sym] that you can get at health food stores.

Good luck!

Just keep it shaved, malky baby. Solves the itchy problem, and you’ll keep the “rrrreow I felt pretty. I felt clean. felt different. It was good.” feeling. C’mon. You know you wanna.

I, too, get the occasional urge to shave. Not the whole nine yards, just a little… well, I was going to try to fancy it up, but fuck that–just my balls and shaft.

Anyways, I kept up pretty regular shaving for about a month before I decided to let it grow back. Now, I’ve let it grow back before, and have had no problems–not even any itching ;). This time, though, I had some problems with ingrown hairs, three or four of them as a matter of fact, all nice and big and painful and pus-filled (pussy?). It scared me a little bit, because I had recently had sex for the first time in like a year, and wasn’t entirely certain of the girls’s past history. So I’m looking at some pretty nasty pictures on the Internet, saying “Nope… nope… maybe… nope… ick… nope.”

It was an interesting few days. I haven’t shaved since.

I did this once early this year. It was a rough grow back. In addition to a couple of rough ingrown hairs, I was forcibly made acutely aware of the area for several days. It was hard to do my job thinking of my balls every few seconds.

Hey, I kinda like the feeling of stubby pubes. I find it akin to the sensation caused by carbonated beverages… 'cept around Mr. Happy.

You can also use shampoo instead of shaving lotion, it works well. “Afta” aftershave lotion will help also.

Once you shave, you really need to keep shaving though… doing it once then stopping is just torturing yourself.

I shave the whole lot every month or so. I do it for a surprise for my SO, and for me. (TMI- he won’t stop going down on me when I shave)

I get itchy from shaving my bikini line in summer, but have never gotten itchy when shaving the entire area.

One note of warning :

Don’t both have stubble growing back at the same time ! Time it so that only one person has growback, otherwise it feels like you’ve wrapped sandpaper around the area !

Phreow !

Hi Malk!!

Purulent.

Yes, that’s right, I just turned down pussy.

I’ll second this thought! The first month or so leaves you really ‘edgy’ (clit is constantly at attention) but as long as you keep shaving, you’ll stop noticing the minor stubble.

I’m a 3-day shaver, personally.

Scratch. Duh. Works for baseball players.

I do this whether I shave or not.

Personally, I can’t see past the unnecessary hardships to even venture down this road. When we first hooked up, my husband begged for me to shave, or better yet, to let him shave it. Now, I love my husband dearly, but I’d never ask him to shave his mop of a chest!

Shave in the shower, use a newer razor, use soap instead of shaving cream. Your skin will get used to it. Don’t go against the grain. Use baby powder on bad days.
Shaved a few years ago, decided to grow it back this summer and couldn’t bear having the stuff again-- seems less sanitary or something. It’s gone again now. Of course if I had my way I would probably choose to be totally hairless, like a seal or something.

As a shaver I had to step in, nothing beats the feel of freshly shaved Mama. At first I had a hard time because it was so stubbly and itchy but then I found Bikini Zone and since then I have less hair, stubble and no itching at all. PLus it tingles and you got to like that in that area! You can always tell when I shaved recently, I am giggling like a loon and winking at everything in sight! Run don’t walk to your nearest Wal-Mart and get some Bikini Zone. It’s worth it!
