Yes, by all means set these communists straight from their generous, charitable ways. it is important to teach them the TRUTH. Which is of course, that this lemonade stand is “all that is wrong with America” in microcosm. This lemonade stand represents the liberal, creeping socialism where we expect to have things given to us on a silver platter by the government…or someone. Little girls, HOW DARE YOU!! It isn’t enough to maybe let them know that they could charge something, it is important to make sure that they know that giving away the lemonade is flat-out wrong and UN-AMERICAN!! You must, and I quote…“make more money”.

TANSTAAFL is an axiom that I learned with my first Jimmy DiGriz novel but I wonder if this Terry Savage guy realized that he was engaging in the same sort of TANSTAAFL mentality when he got all those free tax cuts during the Bush administration. Talk about free lunch theory

Terry Savage would have gone apoplectic over what my kids are doing right now. They’ve emptied out their piggy bank and they’re out on the deck shouting, “New bank open! Come to the new bank!” I asked them how their bank worked and they said they planned to charge people $1 and each customer could then get as much money as they wanted out of their piggy bank stash.
We just had a short lesson on how banks work. They remain unconvinced and think their idea is better.
No problem, they’ll come to daddy for a bailout when their plan blows up and run out of money. Of course, that would never happen in real life.
